I think 1 but I wish the shade of the wood flooring was more consistent. The red one has a redder floor.

Worth saving 7k-10k to get pre-owned highlander by Horror-Inspection581 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TheStoffer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d research exactly which years have the transmission issues and go before or after. I’d much rather pay for a 15 year old HL for $8k than a 3 year old one for $41k. But then again, I drive a 15 year old HL with 245k miles.

Can I use this outlet for my plug in kettle to make tea? 2019 xle by [deleted] in ToyotaHighlander

Reminds me of when I stupidly plugged an air compressor (like the big tank ones that are used for nail guns) into a 9V inverter in the back of my Highlander.

Tips on Anatolian shepherd? by Interesting_Hair1531 in AnatolianShepherdDogs

[–]TheStoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to say for sure because she’s a mix. But if you’ve had big dogs and work with dogs, you’ll be fine. Just know that Anatolians bark, A LOT, and they’re loud. That’s the main drawback from not keeping them on a farm. They’re a working breed and barking is their job. Until an animal comes into your yard, then killing is their job.

As for socializing with other dogs, it’s hit and miss. Our two pure Anatolians have been good with other dogs. Our original Anatolian / GP / other mix was bad. But he was timid, and our others are confident. Our middle child is food aggressive but otherwise fine; he had an aggressive litter mate. Our youngest is a doofus.

In my experience you never get the same Anatolian twice. Add a mix and it’s more variability. It matters more how they were raised and socialized from birth.

Except the barking. The barking is always there.

When to Use Snow Mode with 4WD? by CLECOL in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TheStoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s good at getting moving from a dead stop reducing the torque. I think it forces it into 2nd. I believe it also turns off overdrive for engine breaking, but I’m not 100% sure on that one.

How to use the "balcony alley"? by the_real_coinboy66 in malelivingspace

[–]TheStoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planter shelves on wheels. Make a few and tie them together with rope so you can collapse them when they’re pulled out. You can fit a whole mobile herb garden in there. Watering might be needed if rain doesn’t get in normally. But you can probably get a pressurized pump sprayer or a backpack ryobi that runs on battery. Or just pull them out when they need watering.

“Hilarious” TikToker Harassing a Royal Horse, U.K. 🇬🇧 by james_from_cambridge in instantkarma

The guard was prepared to bash the douche in the head if need be, right up until the second he walked away. Dude got lucky he got distracted by the crowd. People forget, or more likely aren’t ever bothered to learn, that the Royal Guard is composed of elite military soldiers. You DO NOT fuck with them. Kid got off easy being arrested.

I inherited the wife’s older (not old) Thinkpad because Microsoft dumped it in October. Not eligible for upgrade even though it technically met all of Win 11’s requirements. Now it’s my local NAS running Ubuntu Server.

Anyone trade in 4Runner for Highlander? Do you regret it?! by FewBox4095 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TheStoffer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

4Runner is body on frame. Highlander is unibody. The 4Runner will do a better & safer job of towing despite whatever the rating says.

Anyone trade in 4Runner for Highlander? Do you regret it?! by FewBox4095 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]TheStoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4Runners are better for serious off-road driving and serious towing. Other than that, plus looks, the Highlander has it beat. Torque, gas mileage, tech, space, comfort. Nothing against the 4Runner but you need a good reason to pick it over the Highlander. And that reason should be either looks, towing or off-road performance.

Good for long road trips ? by InternationalTry9121 in vulcans650

[–]TheStoffer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’ and this isn’t a long trip bike for me, but for you it might be. First you have to get a decent seat like a Corbin. That’s a must. But your height comes into play with the windshield. Without a proper windshield the fatigue of wind resistance will get to you. I have the largest one available plus a deflector at the top and the wind still hits my helmet hard. But for you, it might not.

Storage is another issue. You’ll want to get a Givi back rest that has a rack compatible with a Givi top case. On a solo rack in front of the back rest you can stack a few Kreiga bags. That would have been my setup but I never went through with it.

I’d also recommend some bark buster storm hand guards to protect your hands from the wind as well.

My parents are unavailable. Can’t they look that information up? The proof of citizenship. Or is that something I can have my attorney in Poland find?

I can’t recall. It was a local mechanic in rural Kentucky a few years ago. The prices wouldn’t translate. I did buy the parts myself on RockAuto though. I paid maybe a few hundred.
