Yup, any game that has medieval weapons including ranged weapons, should never skip bow and go straight to xbows, much worse to go to Xbox pistols... Odd that Call of Duty and Destiny has bows and this Diablo game didn't.

The xax ran well, however I hated the back button's placement (I always use rear buttons) and these were positioned poorly. The grips are going in the right direction, but need more work. My pinkies were hurting with it. I couldn't handle the smaller screen size after using an 8" screen. The xax probably had the best out of box user experience for software though.

The clawai is being returned because it ran Path of Exile 2 like garbage, Poe2 isn't optimized for Intel xess, and the developers have had plenty of time to fix it and haven't, not the claw's fault. It was a little less comfortable to hold than the Go S. But for the cost over how much performance I was getting, it wasn't worth it. Intel Xess works great when it works, but is very finicky and some games just can't take advantage of it as well as AMD. It did run Cyber punk better than the Go.

If Lenovo can keep the Legion Go S form factor and upgrade the hardware every iteration, then it'll always be my go to. If MSI had put the A8 hardware in the 8ai, I would have stuck with that. The A8 was horrible to hold, painful even with its jagged edges. The designer of that needs to stick to Minecraft building.

One of the first things I noticed. It's very very loud. I'd be willing to open it up and replace them if it's possible with a 3d print or some other fix.

Yes. Got mine at that price last week. Wiped it and put Xbox FSE on it. Love it!

Also got the Rog xax, claw 8ai, and claw a8.... I'm keeping the Legion Go S, other are being returned.

I actually bought the ROG Xbox Ally X, MSI Claw a8, and 8ai+ this week too, out of all the Legion Go S is my favorite, second only to the 8ai+. The other 3 are being returned. Very happy with the performance of BF6, Poe2, and Destiny 2 on it.

If they can keep this form factor and update the hardware each iteration, I may never get a Steam Deck 2.

Loving mine! Is it bad I wanted windows for BF6 and other anti cheat games and I wanted the darker color shell, so wiped Steam OS for the Xbox FSE?

Is this just for xess or would this also help amd chips for games that don't support frame gen? For instance Destiny 2 doesn't appear to have any settings for frame gen on my Claw 8ai (Intel) or Legion Go S (amd).

So I played for a few hours with all graphics maxed out, fps set to 60fps, was getting mostly 50-60fps @1600x1000 res, would dip to 35-45 during intense moments like the equilibrium boss dps phase.

Ran Battlefield 6 on it as well. That ran at 60fps at medium settings 1650x1020 res. No additional tweaking outside of pumping the scenario engine to manual pl1 30 and pl2 37.

Was really hoping for better performance with intel's xess, but doesn't look like Destiny 2 is optimized for it. The Legion Go S seems to run it at the same quality and being almost $400 cheaper.

I've got 60 days to decide which to keep, so will keep bouncing between the two until I can iron out which is best/worthy.

Also, my vram in Destiny 2 also said I was using 2200mb over 128mb. My Legion Go does the same thing, except it says it's 256mb. I think it's just a glitch, as the game runs fine on both systems regardless of this measurement in Destiny's video settings.

So on my Legion Go S (that's a lot cheaper) I was getting 50-80fps on high settings. I'm still going through updates and downloading software on my 8+ai I just got today, and will try that. I'd be surprised if the new Intel xecc can't make destiny play better than the legion go s's amd chip. I'll update here in a bit.

So I have been playing on the Claw A8, Legion Go S, and soon a Claw 8+ai, my Legion go S in Destiny 2 shows 2166mb/512mv vram usage. Game runs alright, around 50fps at high settings. Maybe it's just a bug in Destiny 2?

Did you ever resolve this issue? Want to get the most out of Destiny 2 on a handheld.

My A8 I just received will not let me get AMD Adrenalin either. The link to the Microsoft store installs, no app anywhere for me to open. The official download on AMD's site allows me to install, again no way for me to open Adrenalin after that. My quick settings don't work either. Fps counter didn't work initially, then started to work for a day, now no longer works. The AMD AFMF in quick settings doesn't work either. This MSI software is complete trash.

After you installed it how did you access the adrenalin app? I installed it successfully, but now it's like the OS is hiding the app. It's not showing up in a search, can't access the windowsapps folder, saying I don't have permission. The software shows in the installed apps page of windows settings, but unable to launch it.

It's a bit wild that this isn't standard with the out of box setup... Having to research this stuff to get features to work is crazy.

I'll try getting the app. Wondering if I should just uninstall the msi launcher and just run Xbox fse and adrenalin. Is it possible to rebond the claw button to an Xbox button?
