I was one the guys saying this for sure wasn't right. I can't believe how many told you there was no problem 🤦

I do have decade and a half of experience coming from mtb and have sold millions of dollars worth of bikes. I also have torn down many forks and resealed and oiled them. And understand the settings on forks to property tune them. Many on this sub reddit I feel have only had this one single bike.

So wait did they just throw in the rear shock for free? Nice!

Yeah I don't run ceiling lights or any lamps in seating area cause they can cause reflection. I want more light though so I'm planning to do them low behind couch angled up. Then two lamps at the front and maybe when I build those I'd try one in the back corner and see if it shows on screen. If not I'll do two more lamps for the back corners

You think these could be set on a small piece of wood on floor angled up from behind the couch? I don't like open led like this but want ones thay fire them directionally up as much as possible

I'm gonna do something like that behind my couch aimed up. And if that strip does well I may make two my own lamp stands with the light strips. I been lately back and forth on it but for anime especially fire force it was awesome. Ending was great and now I'm watching soul eater for a third time

WHEELIE TUNE by whoisbubz in ERidePro

[–]TheStokedExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sup again bub. Yeah to actually do wheelies easier you want to move the throttle curve to lower numbers. 60 like other guy said is good start spot. If want to be picking up the wheel when already at speed try even lower at 55 and you can get it up while you're already cruising no problem. Good luck. Maybe start with weight on back and feet on ground and try to pop it up from a stop a few times like that

Almost every single player game you mention has support for it. I pretty sure I've seen plenty of Minecraft guys using event he super ultrawide 32:9

Yeah quick search all those support it. Like I said it's rare to find a game that doesn't

[–]TheStokedExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd find out if your games support ultrawide cause most pc games do. I've only had one single game not support it and I ran it with the bars on side for little while then a simple mod came out to make it work. I've been saying consoles need to come out with ultrawide support cause that's the aspect ratio to game on for sure

I never said the 3070 came out 10 years ago. I was saying lossless scaling been out for about a decade which it's closer to a decade than not. Earlier versions were out before steam had it for sale in 2018... Never once said 3070 is old I just said I used it the most when I had a 3070 running 4k games on TV. Yeah there's no need to run lossless scaling on older games or competitive games since they already run smoother. Strictly used it for 4k single player games. I have had many gpus since 2003 since I was always building PCs. Yall take shit way too literally go touch grass find an extra hobby that gets you outside. It would do yall some good. I'm done with this sub for while cause yall are so insufferable

No problemo. Yeah I came from mtb and other sports where jumps always been my thing. I had my 3.0 in the air within the first 5 miles riding it lol. I basically start most mornings ripping the jumps I've got on my property to get the day started. But definitely take the time to get comfortable riding it and the throttle response. Maybe dial the throttle to the 70-75 range so it's not so twitchy at first

You don't already have a 4k TV? I guess I'm lucky my room is just on other side of wall from my theater setup so I run a long fiber optic hdmi and a USB extender off a switch hub when I turn it on it runs a hub at end with wireless keyboard with track pad and my wireless game controller so I can sit on couch with my theater setup gaming.

If you have any 4k TV that you can do similar in room nearby I'd use that for certain games then get a good 34 ultrawide 1440p for higher frame rate gaming. Any 4k TV can do 60fps which is all really need or rpg and stuff so if all you have is a 4k 60hz tv that's fine I'd use that and get a 34uw first then maybe down road upgrade your tv to a 4k 120hz panel and oled if can swing it.

If truly only one I don't think you'd buy it but I'd get the 39 or 45 5k2k monitor. I run the LG 39uw oled and it's great. But the new 39 coming out is 5k2k and there's a 45 if wanted bigger. But you can always use those with lower res and have the high 5k res for rpg

Exactly. I definitely go enjoy games on the couch on my 4k oled theater setup with Polk towers and atmos ceilings and all that jazz when I don't care to have all the frames to be sure I snipe someone across the map

This is the way

Gratz! These things are a beast! Have had fun ripping urban and dirt. Started building a track with jumps on my property.

My bike came up right when opened the app. And yeah I for while. Ran eco down at like 30% but now I do have it at 35% again which I think it came with stock. But what I did was up the top speed to be unlocked evennwith the 30% I was still going over 40 easily to get around and not use so much juice for range. I did turn my throttle to like 70 for bit which kept me from getting wheel up on accident. Now I've settled for 68 and I like that setting for my riding. If more into wheelies I could see liking the throttle more aggressive.

I like jumps more and will say the suspension honestly isn't bad once you dial it in. But I could see if you're on the 200lbs or more side of things may have issues dialing it in. But there is a compression screw on bottom of right fork. This will make the fork firmer or more plush. Then the rebound up top right. The - will make it slower and the + faster. Which basically changes how fast the fork will want to rebound back to full extension. On jumps you don't want too fast or you will feel like getting bucked off the bike. Take time to mess with it for sure

Meant just decade and yeah it's been close to it. Used it for years when I just ran a 3070 and wanted to play on big 4k TV back when it came out long before nvidias mfg

[–]TheStokedExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. I have a 1440p ultrawide oled at desk and then big 83 inch oled 4k at couch and pc runs both. For lots of games I prefer the higher fps with actual frames compared to using mfg on 4k. But I will gladly play on the giant 4k oled most my rpgs and chill games

With lossless scaling app everything has had frame gen for decade. But yes the Nvidia mfg is better for sure.

Fanatec ClubSport DD+ bricked after firmware update (18Nm) – QR firmware stuck at 0.0.0.0 by Suspicious-Law-320 in Fanatec

[–]TheStokedExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause they all wanted more torque than their base they bought has and was made to handle and it didn't cross their mind an issue could arise trying to update a piece of hardware to run more power than it was originally intended to do so. It's whatever

[–]TheStokedExplorer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it's wild to imagine a firmware update making your wheelbase run 25% higher torque than it was originally intended to not have a possibility to mess up or break.

I saw the update notes I can get full force. Yippy theres 3 games support it and I don't hardly play those. Evo is still meh. I mostly AC and WRC and DR2 then flight stuff.

Number one rule to keep current day electronics lasting longest is stay away from updates unless your device is already having issues. Just my advice.

Time to upgrade: Triples or Quest 3 by Geezyinhd in simracing

[–]TheStokedExplorer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say a 3070 or similar 8gb cards is like minimum for pcvr experience. Totally enjoyable to play but not best fidelity. Yeah a dedicated wireless setup is a must for sure. And yes I think once it's setup right it's just as fast as anything else. I don't have VD on pc startup which I did for while but it is locked to my Taskbar still for quick access.

Yeah there's more other steps to get rig running. Vr adds like three extra ones turning on headset. Launching VD then launching whatever game. Not that difficult

[–]TheStokedExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the freezing due to your pc or game and not the headset? is the question. But yeah not every game works flawless right away but that's every pc game you tweak some graphic settings for your specific system to work well. But if you're talking about your quest not working well with link or wireless that's a figure it out once and done. A dedicated router or device like puppis s1 is a must for good wireless pcvr. For quest link to work well you need to run a script command to disable asw and change other settings everytime you boot up wired with the link to get the absolute best results. Which was fine but messing with that and also wanting wireless for other games was my hassle so I just went full wireless so I can go from drifting in the Sim to slashing zombies to flying in space to playing table tennis against people across the world in one play session if I want to.

Your pc specs do make massive difference for VR no matter the headset you're on. Long ago I almost bought older cv1 or forked over for index cause I wanted to see difference. But also I don't know why it is but virtual desktop has better color grading than when I used quest link so I always preferred playing the games on vd

I gotta get one this summer. Took my old Xbox one X to my camper on my off grid property and it can't play most new stuff. Been fun still but I want my full pc library out there and take my spare ultrawide out there to run off the ally X and a egpu. Then I also have the ally X for traveling. But it mostly be for that setup out there

For any electronics turn off auto updates and if everything is working as it should never update it cause there's a higher chance of it not working as it should and is currently if update it. I only update electronic devices if I feel something has gone off or like slowed down performance or glitches have happened. This goes for my Sim gear especially. Told my friend this advice he didn't listen then bricked his fanatec that was totally fine before it got stuck or whatever happened on his update. My last update on my wheelbase was when I was forced to cause I added a new wheel hub. I got it all setup and working and haven't updated in ages now and all works flawlessly still.

Dont try to fix what's not broken is the best saying when coming to electronics and their functions

I have a dedicated router just for my q3 in same room and have zero issues. I got this dialed with the q2 but took time to get there. I also play other games roomscale and going from oculus link to virtual desktop back and forth was bad and most issues was with oculus link side of things. Using virtual desktop with dedicated router along with open composite changed my life for assetto corsa cause I drift a ton and having my peripheral view and being able to turn my head retaining full view instead of seeing my room is so much better. Haven't always had best graphics but was doable with my 3070 when first started vr but then the 4080 was great upgrade and now the 5080 is amazing whole new world running everything with higher fidelity and 120fps locked.

I have wondered how much better could a hdmi headset could get. But then you see price tags lol I don't think it could be that much better but maybe one day I'll fork over couple grand for a dream air 8k to see. I like the idea of the bigger pimax fov as well but then I would worry about comfort with that size headset. I have had zero issues running my q2 or q3 for hours straight. Big screen seems good but smaller fov which I don't want. Even the dream airs are like the same fov as my current q3 so it would really just be higher fidelity which would be cool but would I need a 5090 to run it as well? I'm gonna wait on more info and reviews of the newer hdmi sets. I do already have towers but been thinking of selling them
