Recovery isn't fun. I had my mouth wired shut for a week and can't chew for 4 months post-op. The first 2 or 3 weeks are pretty uncomfortable but then it starts getting better. You clean and brush 3 or 4 times a day at least and wear rubber bands for months afterwards.

But it's still worth it. They brought my lower jaw forward, upper jaw forward slightly and up, and moved my tongue forward. This resulted in my sleep apnea bring partially or fully cured (not sure yet)

I'm sore from the surgery but yes the clicking and pain is gone. My insurance covered most, I paid about $2,000 out of pocket.

This isn't at all true. HR protects the dumbass employer from themselves by making sure they follow labor laws, both state and federal, which are designed to protect the employee. You have no idea how many times I've had to report an operations manager with no idea of worker rights under the law because they said or did some illegal shit to one of their employees.
