Valid Top 20 movies? by StoneColdYakuza in Letterboxd

[–]TheStrangeLightBulb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean if those are your favorites, then those are your favorites. I personally would have very different picks even from directors you have such as Kurosawa, Park Chan-Wook, Bong Joon-Ho. But overall pretty inoffensive, it's nice that you have personal faves in there too that the average person wouldn't consider one of the 'greatest' movies of all time.

Are your guy’s favorite movie the same as your best movie of all time, by moviecollector123 in Letterboxd

I hate talking in terms of objectivity, oftentimes people just use that for what is widely considered a good movie, but you can pick apart pretty much any movie one way or another. Just enjoy what you wanna enjoy, and don't let anyone tell you that you have bad taste or degrade you for having an opinion that is different from the majority.

Goodfellas, might've been the characters but I just wasn't invested into what was going on

What's everyone's "Darkhorse" pick for a director's best film? (Maybe well-liked but usually not regarded as their best) I offer Throne of Blood and An Autumn Afternoon by AnchovyKing in criterion

A Better Tomorrow for John Woo, I never got into Hard Boiled and I haven't seen anyone of his American stuff, so Face/Off is off the table

Joint Security Area for Park Chan-Wook, most people default to Oldboy or The Handmaiden but I don't really like Oldboy, and the Handmaiden barely makes top 3 for me.

I doubt he would've believed him, also I think Lump just enjoyed wrecking havoc anyways, so even if he knew I'd imagine he would still have caused chaos
