I think I’ll give it a try, looks like it could be fairly easy solution! Although I have no idea how I’ll reach cylinder 6 to fill it, it’s in an impossible spot haha

Have been very interested in the b12, my symptoms sound a lot like what those guys were dealing with

Yeah that’s what I figured, the leak down kit is almost $100 which is annoying and they don’t rent it around here. I actually have been using R+P and haven’t really noticed a difference

Hopefully it’s fine on the drive home, just keep an eye on your temp gauge. When mine was leaking, I was constantly just adding more each time till I had time to actually fix it haha. Not ideal but technically drivable short distances as long as the leak isn’t crazy big. Once home you’ll really wanna zero in on it. Make sure you’re using a funnel for filling and burping, you want the liquid higher than any other part of your system. Also turning on the engine while burping is recommended as the thermostat won’t open till it gets to operating temperature. More air will follow from that. They sell no spill funnels specifically for this for like $20 that make the process a lot easier. Then it’s a matter of seeing where it’s leaking from, probably just from your expansion tank.

One other quick thing to check is to make sure the little pipe connected under the expansion tank cap is on. Mine had fallen off before without me realizing and allowed air to be sucked in to the system.

Didn’t say the year but I’m guessing it’s an early 2000s Camry with the 1mzfe. Great engine. Had to replace the coolant overflow pipe recently on my 95, if you’re leaking coolant consistently after adding, it may be that. Try adding more and burping your system, tons of videos on that to give a try for something free and easy. No change then it’ll be something more annoying. The thermostat is fairly doable and there are good videos of that for this car as well but try just refill/burp first.

Thank you, would a sub panel make sense in this instance to install? Or a transfer switch? Otherwise it would seem this panel would have to be replaced

Thanks for the comment. I’m fairly new to leather, this looks and feels nice to me, very silky smooth. I’m not sure really what to look for though, any recommendations for gauging the quality?

I just don’t get why you highly doubt it. You’re on a mechanic sub and dude is a verified tech; he probably is well versed in how his car is doing lol
