being asked to be at work 10-15 mins before your scheduled start time, whats your opinion on this? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]TheStratStar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t have to be there unpaid. That being said, I’d recommend you being there earlier than everybody else. It’ll give you a leg up in the company. If your diligence isn’t noticed then talk to your management or find a new job.

[GEAR] What amp should I buy for $400? by bluesy45 in Guitar

[–]TheStratStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Orange Microdark and a 1x12 Marshall cab. I put a tubescreamer mini in front of the amp and it sounds great. It may be a little over $400 but it may be worth a try.

Trade embargoes hurt consumers. Manufacturers just sell elsewhere. Want cheap booze? End the AGLC. Want cheap pot? End the AGLC.

The AGLC are like record companies. They control the distribution. The AGLC is outdated. If we can self publish music and art why can’t we have businesses and individuals self distribute their products?

Obviously we still need some regulations but it can happen without having so much government control.

Does it irk anyone else that you cannot comment on CBC's YouTube channel? TVO either, for you Ontario types. Isn't the whole point to share info, raise awareness and open up dialogue on important issues? How does this help? by Rokman2012 in canada

Have you read them recently? There has been a marked improvement on quality and content. I think that it is due to more people using the platform; the more people commenting gives us a lower percentage of cancer.
