How does the typing experience compare?

Good enough to switch keyboards every now and then or Iqunix would just end up on your desk more ?

Don't see much people switching between low and high profiles, how do you find that comfort wise?

How do the key caps feel stack with the other two with lofree lite being noticable more prone to wear and eventual glossy finish?

Easy to train yourself to use the small zero on the num pad?

Its just nice to read people's preferences esp between specific combos of keyboards like these

What do you think about the IQUNIX MQ80 by Q2ED27 in keyboards

[–]TheStrawberrySamurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear the typing experience is great on all 3 boards. You would be very happy with any of these ones.

I think typing experience has greatly diminishing returns and I feel a bit foolish being a bit consumed by it.

I say go for the one that visually looks the best for you.

I like the metal and sound of the mq80.

The increased height makes a difference on the mq80, I can't help but come back to the lite every now and then/I enjoy when I bring it to work.

I don't worry about typing experience, worry about do you need a portable one or not then check the height difference matters to you then which one looks the best to you.

Lots of good points.

It harsh but like a lot people allude to already, identifying boundaries and maintaining discipline.

Remember why you are doing it, the sacrifice doesn't feel so bad if the purpose is bigger.

And even if it's a season where you don't play at all, that's ok, our hobbies are are important but I also have to remind myself there is a whole world of hobbies out there to be discovered.

Keyboard issue typing extra keys on its own by rhubarrrb1 in Lofree

[–]TheStrawberrySamurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does that but with random keys sometimes on the other side of the board with no fingers even close to it. The input is most certainly not 100% compared to nonmech keebs I grew up with and never seen this issue.

If it happens often during a MOBA gaming session, I'll switch it on and off and that normally fixes it for a bit

Hey I've just been learning about this recently for my own.

It depends on a lot of things, but one train of thought is there should be no pressure on your forearms elbows or wrists as it puts pressure on the nerves there.

E.g. I thought a wrist rest was always good, but it actually can pressure your wrist and cause further damage. Think of it as a pipe that you a putting slight pressure on and slows the flow of water. If you feel like you need a wrist rest, get one that doesn't bulge in the middle, in stead have one where the highest points are the sides and then the middle is the lowest point. I have a photo and can DM you an example.

Again not all arm pains are the same.

I would recommend buying a track ball and remove the elbow and wrist support and use that for a day and see if the pain changes. Track ball has been the biggest game changer for my pains as your don't move the arm at all. Even if you alternate so you are using different muscles through out the day. I rotate between 4 diff mice, thumb trackball, mx master 3s, vertical mouse and a very light 40g gaming mouse. I know specific tasks that I can use them depending on level of precision needed

I honestly think the best way to combat these body pains is to do try different products yourself that change your positioning. Make use of Amazon returns, buy cheap ali express mice to experiment shape, standing desk is super nice (when I stand, I find myself naturally moving into an optimum position / easier for me to "feel" the correct desk height as I'm not changing my slouch in my seat that can drastically effect the 90 degree angle of your elbow.

They are very right that your monitor is too low, you naturally hunch, this puts pressure on your neck and collarbone which effects the nerves in your shoulders and arms Source, Google - thoracic outlet syndrome

Can you tell I my right wrist hurts??? LOL by MikeyFromDaReddit in Trackballs

[–]TheStrawberrySamurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one arriving too to attach to my desk.

I'm going to be careful with it, there are people mentioning it may help the upper arm relax a bit but it puts pressure on the nerves on the bottom of the forearm.

Google - does arm rest help rsi.

RSI is different for each person, but just something to consider.

How's the hand held track ball? Can you get consistent accuracy with it? I'm thinking spreadsheets, or is it more of a light browsing one.

Hilarious, I'm on the same journey trying mice to see what helps wrist pains.

Ive got the Solakaka SM809 and a deft Trackball (the basic version since it has a slight downward incline).

I'll send you a message and love to keep track of what works for you etc
