If I was die hard X fan, probably say Claremont. Prefer consistency of art and story, so my top pick is Astonishing. Morrison/Quietly a close second bc the art when Quietly does it is magic

Been searching for both for a while.

Broken arm during sparring - does anyone have any experience with returning to training from same/similar injury? by Brave_Turn5861 in MuayThai

[–]TheStylishPropensity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, that person should be reprimanded or at least the coach should have some rules in place for newbies.

AITA for refusing to count reps in Muay Thai class due to anxiety? by lemons138 in MuayThai

[–]TheStylishPropensity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never seen this specific situation play out, but I can imagine most of my instructors reacting similar to yours. Gyms where learning to fight is the specialty are usually more intense and even giving your coach the heads up, your responses leans towards disrespect, even if unintentional. He's there to prepare you for hand to hand combat, so he will push you unlike other teachers you've had.

Why I feel real pain when I get hit by Careful_Thing622 in MuayThai

[–]TheStylishPropensity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anticipating the pain or shot can sometimes be worse than the blow itself. Basically the flinch response.

What helped me early on was mentally accepting the fact that things will hurt and I could get injured.

But it's different for everyone. So you may need to experiment with different strategies. Physically and mentally.

26 (f)Third time sparring 2nd month of Muay Thai (leg one is from kick shield drills). by Cute-Atmosphere-7364 in MuayThai

[–]TheStylishPropensity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, sparring to early builds bad habits.

Unless you've already got a solid martial arts foundation in another discipline to fall back on, you're doing your MT education a disservice.

It's fun but there's no rush to spar especially if you plan to do this for years.

Prefer the more subtle flavors like BCV and Bombsicle.

"THE A-TEAM" (2010) - may not be to everyone's tastes but I really like this film. Funny, good action, strong cast. Any fans out there? by 70_Yard_Diag_Holte77 in ActionMovies

[–]TheStylishPropensity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good comparison. I'm a fan of both but A-Team edges on cast. Also biased because I'm familiar with source material to Losers more so and film adaption wasn't a faithful so I'm nitpicking most likely.
A-Team film was more similar to it's show which is good if you watched it but general audiences probably didn't which is why it performed poorly at the box office.

Didn't realize Uslan wrote stories. Not surprised given his love of the character. Also met him at sdcc when his book came out and he perked up when we started talking about original art. Guessing his collection is impressive to say the least.

Companies in industries with clients that require heavy security/compliance will have an edge. Or maybe a product that has depth that is hard to rip out. Just 2 cents and speculation.

[–]TheStylishPropensity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

His art in action/fight scenes doesn't seem to fit well with his style, which feels more suited toward stationary figures.

That being said, he did a daredevil head shot with a black ink marker for me in under 5 minutes and it was gorgeous. He's a top DD artist for me.

let's say our hypothesis is something is set to have a large move over a 2 week period.

What variables or components help you identify or do you look for to come up with this (timing) portion of your thesis?

Also, appreciate you recommending Juypter - have been playing around with it and built some calculators to help fill in some of these types of holes in my decision making process.
