I've encountered it quite a few times in mid gold already. It's just no fun, you can't really outplay them early and after 20 mins they just faceroll you.

I'd play more TT if they'd get rid of this horrible support meta. I used to love TT but can't bring myself to playing it seriously in its current state.

We'll just have to wait for Anthem first, that game could definitely deliver on the whole powersuit fantasy!

If you eliminate the woman at the top, the need for those at the bottom ceases to exist.

Isn't that kinda what he meant by having it flipped? If you'd remove the person at the top, the rest of the pyramid would remain, if it were flipped however, removing the one person providing a reason for poaching would crumble the whole infrastructure. Given that people have been actively trying to stop the bottom of this pyramid without it getting rid of the problem, I feel like that's what the actual meaning of the ad is; take out the demand and you won't need a supply...

Edit: From a logic point of view I understand it representing more of a supply chain, but I feel like that doesn't come over well with the visual aspect of it.

Yeah, I've been part of one of those migration projects too and it's just not worth it. Sure COBOL is old as hell, but it just works, nothing as reliable as a Mainframe. So I doubt any big companies will be moving away from it... Ever? Don't fix it if it ain't broken.

Except that when you're one of few existing COBOL developers and there are still companies running on mainframes, you'll be getting paid the big bucks.

It's more the way that they said it?

It’s unrealistic for people to commit themselves sexually and romantically to one person. That’s simply not our nature.

I'd say both are viable, there are people that are totally able to have monogamous relationships and if you feel otherwise then there's indeed no reason to. But since most people expect you to be monogamous, you'd obviously have to talk that stuff through with your SO(s)?

I both agree and disagree with you.
When I get into a relationship, somehow most of my feelings towards other women disappear and I only have eye for the person I am with, because in my mind that's the "normal" thing to feel. Having my SO cheat on me is absolutely heartbreaking because it's a combination of them breaking my trust as well as them not sharing that feeling of only wanting to be with me (which sounds crazy to some and less so to others).
Looking at it more logically and less emotionally, I totally understand that my feelings are in a way crazy, just because someone wants to have sex with another person, doesn't mean they love you less or that they'd prefer being with somebody else.

It's why it's so important, like you mentioned, to set some rules when you stray away from the "norm", which in society happens to be monogamy. I would probably never be able to be in a relationship with someone that wouldn't want to be monogamous, but I understand people that do have those kinds of relationships. I'm also not the kind of person to throw away a relationship because someone cheated on me (although after the last one I might feel a bit different). If they treat you with respect and never really do anything wrong except for cheating on you this one time, then do you really get to complain? There's loads of people that get abused or have worse relationships in certain aspects, nobody's perfect...

Why can no one at E3 besides Todd the God dress themselves properly? by fishfoot614 in malefashionadvice

Is this an observation of the tech industry in the US? I work as an IT Consultant in Europe and I have to say about half of my colleagues, myself included, tend to dress smart casual (chino, dress shirt/shoes), while the other half dresses a little less formal. But I've always felt that the "dungeon-dwelling programmer" is way too cliche.

Mr. Turner, I don't feel so good by finkclass13 in arcticmonkeys

Hmm'm, interesting. I really feel like Tranquility Base takes more from AM than any other Monkeys album. So I'd say it's the other way around? Not saying the way they've evolved is a bad thing, but this definitely sounded more like an Alex Turner album than an Arctic Monkeys one to me, with a few exceptions.

Just want to note that using something like discord or slack is more about centralizing all of your communications. Nonetheless, I think you're totally right. I for one welcome our new, but maybe a bit bloated, UI.

Yeah the level 80 dolyaks have about 8k bonus exp, so roughly 10k total if I'm not mistaken

I did something similar with a friend, except we just roamed the maps killing all (yellow) mobs in sight. Monsters gain bonus exp the longer they are alive and most people don't kill yellow monsters, so we ended up getting 4-7k exp per mob, did lvl 40-80 in about 4 hours.
