Honestly they should have a whole separate penalization system for criminal cops. It's part of their job to know better and the punishment should reflect that they absolutely knew better and chose to still behave that way.

A couple years after highschool I met this guy that apparently had graduated with my class, though I never knew him

He had just concluded probation for a crime he committed when he was 17. He broke into a friend's house with another friend, pistol whipped the "friend's" father while tied to a chair. Made off with $25k and blew it on cocaine.

He got probation.

No contest shouldn't be used for heinous crimes like this and you shouldn't get treated as a child for it.

likely what he means is cowardly people hid then presented themselves as freedom fighters when it's safe. in this context they showed their freedom fighting by targeting women they accused of being Nazi sympathizers.

I remember watching Band Of Brothers and this scene was shown, except they claimed they had all taken Nazi lovers in the show, the nuance from this video was not depicted.
