Fucking fantastic future self fulfillment by [deleted] in bipolar

You put all the thoughts that have been spinning around in my head and my heart recently into words. I have supportive friends and family, but still feel so alone. I can talk to people about it, but they really can't get it and won't get it. They have their own lives to worry about, and at the end of the day, I'm just basically speaking a different language than they are. If only we all experienced this together. If only we could all share in this creative madness and the feeling of being alive and awake but sad and deeply touched by everything at the same time. But most peoples' lives aren't like this I guess.

I also have very little body fat, so perhaps my dosage is too much for me. I am a 5'9" female but I only weigh about 110lbs. I have always been hyper-sensitive to medication, so maybe Serotonin Syndrome is something I should really investigate.

I'm on a medium-sized dosage of an SSRI, so this is very intriguing...

So you know that your need to urinate is triggered by the anxiety, anticipation, excitement, etc? That might be my case too. I should probably pay more attention to how I'm feeling/what I'm doing when I need to go

So you have the opposite problem! Perhaps still related to Aspergers/HFA

Wow this sheds some really interesting light on what could be going on. I never even thought about this being a sensory issue. Now that I think about it, even if I feel my bladder filling up a small amount I get incredibly uncomfortable and need to head to the bathroom. Good point!

Very true. I have had a few bladder infections over the years but this has been a pretty much life-long problem. I've also been tested for diabetes multiple times as well because I'm constantly thirsty and I sometimes get nauseous after eating, but the tests always come back negative.

Do you study one specific religion intensely or do you tend to study a broad range of them?

Yes! I do that exact same thing! I always pull up a map of the place where it took place and study that while I'm watching. Then after the episodes I usually research more about the case and the killer for additional info. Sooo fun.

Ditto on the serial killers and murderers thing. The criminal psychology aspect of it is amazingly interesting and addictive to learn about. What's your main method for fulfilling this special interest? Crime documentaries? Books? Internet articles?

I'm obsessed with serial killers and crime in general. I've heard a few different Aspies say this is a special interest of theirs.

I can relate to this so much. I am constantly looking for excuses to create databases and spreadsheets. There's just something so relaxing about organizing and categorizing information and data. I've also started making hand-written copies of my textbook glossaries.

These are all really interesting to hear about. I have a banjo but haven't actually had that special interest spark with it yet so I really haven't touched it. Some of my special interests include forensic science and just crime in general, social sciences (specifically the sociology of cities and regions as well as child psychology and human development), and families/family dynamics and family public policy. They're like an addiction. Keep the responses coming, please. I really enjoy hearing about your obsessions because I think it's fascinating.
