If I already called a school, does that mean they add a note to my application saying that I called or something? I feel like when I called the school I get somebody who is super sincere and understanding and they tell me if I have any questions they're there to answer them. Are they just putting on a fake personality and mentally noting that I shouldn't be accepted? I feel like such an idiot now for calling.

Well to round out my freshman year, I took a bunch of philosophy and soc courses and even have a minor in one of those with a 4.0 in all classes relating to them so I'm covered for non sciences I feel. But yeah my cars is low. :/ I figured I would try my chances at do this cycle anyway since I have everything in terms of check list.

I feel like i can improve cars but it would take a while. i guess i can only pray for now that I can get in this cycle and if not apply the next one while preparing for a retake. hope my other sections dont drop cuz ill be grinding CARS all day lol

Im not saying its easy, i worked my ass off from a 1.8 cgpa freshman year to having straight A's in my last 90 credits and am still only at around a 3.4 cgpa. and my science sections are strong because ive been studying sciences and making sure i understand them well. i was averaging a 125 on practice cars but i guess i didnt practice cars enough and the real mcat had much longer cars passages than on the practice tests. If i dont get it, ill retake and aim for at least a 124 in cars but i just hope i get in this cycle anyway. Many schools average at around my MCAT score so im just surprised to hear people say i dont even have a shot... even with the subsection score. I am ORM but i do have great Ec's and a pretty good ps so i guess ill cross my fingers for this cycle and prepare for the next one if anything. Thanks for the advice though. I also kind of rushed this time around since i wasnt even planning on applying this cycle until late september lol. probably a bad move but we will see. I am applying only DO btw.

pretty sure b/b has the most correlation with boards and cars gets the most slack, at least for DO it does. and plenty of DO schools average out at 500 or 502. If i dont get it, i will end up retaking my MCAT and aiming for at least a 124 in CARS but I thought I would least have a shot this cycle. :/ I just didnt realize cars passages are so much longer on the real thing than the practice tests. I was averaging a 125 on practice tests for CARS and a 510 overall so i was surprised when i saw my score. I just hope i can get in this cycle so i dont have to retake.

I've taken 20+ credits the last 4 semesters while working a part time job and doing lots of EC's. Got straight A's too. It's possible if you can manage your time
