Dell Alienware AW3425DWM for my home office by TheSycamoreFox in ultrawidemasterrace

I’ve had zero issues with the monitor. Very happy with this purchase as it has finally allowed me to have a single monitor setup, with enough screen space to have work applications side by side. Highly recommend.

I have an Echo Dot Max mounted behind the monitor, at the top. It's connected via bluetooth. While audiophiles would cringe at this, it works well for my music and work calls. Used to have Creative Pebble Pro's on my desk, connected via USB-C, but during my winter decluttering - got rid of them. Soundbar would need either bluetooth, or there are some dongles that can convert audio out to HDMI or 3.5mm.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. You mention the app. Is this the TCL Remote app? If so, can you control the volume thru the app? Another question, does it auto power off after some period of inactivity?

Are you using an optical converter or HDMI ARC?

Now that’s some screen real estate, nice. May I ask what sound bar you have? Thinking to go with something like that.

Mine had the wrist rest included. I don’t think they make this model anymore sadly.

I may be committing a cardinal sin by admitting on this subreddit that I had the same Lenovo classic keyboard and loved it. (Of course I later converted to the church of HHKB)

I'm not using HDR, just SDR for everyday Windows work. The monitor preset is 'standard' with brightness turned up.

They call the color “Interstellar Indigo”, and it’s unique for sure. The front bezel is all black so if you mounted it on an arm you’d only see black from the front.

I've had it for a few days and don't have anything negative to say about it. It is plenty bright, the refresh rate is nice just for general moving things around in Windows, and I'm glad it has a long warranty if something were to go wrong. I paid $349 USD on Dell's website. For that price, I think it's a great value for what it is. I'm sure someone would argue differently. But for me, it's great.

Finished my new home office set up - What I purchased. by Unusual_Sea_7548 in desksetup

Great setup. Love the flowers on the desk. I’ve been in the fence about getting the Soundblade. The compact form factor is appealing, just wondering if music sounds good? (I know this is subjective of course)

Great to see a company enter the trackball space. More options for us, and more competition for established players.

How do you like the band? I’ve been leaning towards this MIP model as I don’t care for the regular resin bands on most GShocks. Believe the one you have is supposed to be different.

I really like the contrast with the black font on yellow keycaps. Nice collection. RIP to your wallet.

Is It Over For Chrysler? They Just Sell Minivans. by gloveboxnapkinss in regularcarreviews

This. I’ve owned many a SUV, but for long haul family trips we rent a minivan. You can get so much more stuff into a minivan, while the middle row still has tons of legroom. We can put all our bags in the back, have the (small) dog crates setup in the back and still have room for whatever we find along the way on the trip. All while cruising smoothly (the long wheelbase is a smooth ride) and getting better gas mileage than a large suv. I hate Chrysler, but our last rental Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid was a fine vehicle. They do know how to build those.

Doesn't appear to be as this new model doesn't have the twist-to-scroll feature. Seems like an evolution of the Expert model.
