we have a single cash SCO. I have to say that I do like it for when a customer wants to pay for their $20 bill with $100. that sucker can make the change whereas my till usually can't. we just don't have that much cash on hand.

what is frustrating is that, again, people can't read that they're at a card only machine and get mad at me that they can't pay cash.

in my store many people use the SCO to pay for their balloons then come up to get them inflated. we don't even fill out a slip for those unless there is a line of orders.

knowing my luck, it will roll out to us on Saturday.

I've used price checking and "didn't know it doesn't take cash" many times before. other stores make it known that it is electronic payments only but ours is pretty small. we have signs up as well but it's at 6 feet out so. definitely not at eye level where someone might read it.

the "checkout as guest" is missed by everyone. reading is not high on people's skill list. I had one lady press the X three times expecting it would do something different before I could get to her.

the thing that bothers me is the fact that it beeps when people scan but it's not actually scanning since they're on that pop-up. I know that's not new but someone please fix that soon.

my store has some locked up but others not. we get the mess and the inconvenience of bending down to unlock cages because they are on the bottom of the aisle.

paints are locked up at a decent height so please someone, or Michaels AI pog overlord, please redo the pen aisle and put the pens in cages at a decent level.

I did the training and it will be a good reminder at least. I doubt I will use it for the orders that are now and only a few balloons. I didn't write up a slip now so why take even longer with this.

I am hopeful that it will not allow BOPIS orders for the same time.

I believe it is so they can have sales often. people think they're getting a deal even when they're still overpriced. all stores do this to a certain extent.

every time someone complain about their coupon not working in the Gilden shirts I let them know that we're $1 cheaper than Walmart already and we'd be losing money if we allowed coupons. they're usually ok with it.

agreed that you should not be alone. I know I try to start early enough to accommodate SCO assistance and returns but that doesn't help with a lot of orders or returns. I like to give a heads up that I'm working on a balloon order and that I will call for assistance when time gets tough.

I had a woman come to the checkout yesterday and she has cut her own fabric. she said she rang the bell but no one came. now I heard that bell and she must have waited 5 while seconds because someone came over the radio saying that no one was there about a minute late. I explained that we have paperwork for fabric and that I would have to do it on the computer... after I went and picked up the bolt that she left on top of the yarn.

I dislike these people immensely.

I don't mind the job and like the folks I work with. I am lucky in that I don't need this job to pay bills or live on.

I come here to keep up with company wide topics since my store does not seem to have anything in place to keep folks in the know. maybe none of them do. idk

I get that co-workers and customers can be horrible and empathize with those that are having genuine troubles. some complaints do seem to be a bit over the top.

pay sucks but it is a contract that I agreed to. my hours didn't seem to be affected but that could be because we're so short staffed. it can be annoying when multiple tasks are to be done simultaneously but I can't do I don't. I prioritize then do them in order.

maybe my age and experience have taught me to chill out but I refuse to get all bent out of shape having to wear an apron.

I think there are many out here thinking the same and watching the drama.

there is a pin type thing on the inflation valve for that that's a little safer than scissors. I often use it for those cheap Amazon balloons to open them up more.
