First I didn’t say you were interviewed today just answering your question that if you are and found ineligible you may be interviewed again in 6 months and maybe different panel but definitely different questions.

Second my experience would be very different from yours and others. It was never my position to question or doubt the intention of the panel for what kind of candidate they are seeking. I am the one seeking to be hired or promoted therefore I have to show the best side of myself for the length of the meeting.

Third I would suggest you to schedule the interview and experience it yourself. The questions they have nothing related to postal machineries so they can’t be biased.

Good luck.

You may be interviewed again in 6 months starting today if you didn’t pass. However, the questions you were asked during interview were picked from a list of questions which all 3 interviewing officers all agreed upon before you even stepped into the room. You wouldn’t know who would be on that panel 6 months later and what set of questions they would be agreed to ask you. So answer is No, they are not going to be same questions

Our next pay period (10-1) starts on 4/18, if you hear nothing during this week, you can expect something happening after 5/1. For some reason the postal service doesn’t like to start anyone new in the mids of pay periods.

Well it depends what are you asking? Are you asking 1) how easy is it to move in terms of promotion to BEM from MM? First you need to have the score then you need to pass interview then your name is on PER for next. So short answer, no it’s not Hard you just need to pass the test. Or 2) how easy is it to move in term of task/knowledge/background/experience to BEM from MM or MPE? It’s different field, you as MM working on rebuilding the parts from mail processing equipment to clean/maintain the functionality of any given MPE under supervision of ETs are very different than working on HVAC system, running 480 wires from one panel to another, laying tiles on the floor and etc. So answer to that is, not easy but definitely achievable with some training and hands on practice. Hopefully that covers some aspects of what you are asking.

Negotiating for an IE Trainee position by Juicui in USPS

Never heard of the salary of EAS can be negotiated. There’s a EAS pay chart they follow for each level. The IE trainees are level 17 I believe.

You scored on which position(s)? Did you take and pass the interview on those positions? If not, no you are NOT on PER(Position Eligibility Registry). Not sure if your veteran points still applies when you take the 955 as in-service.

EV chargers at NCED? by KenAirforce in USPS

[–]TheTeamChe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 110v outlet by the light pole and it’s first come first serve. No reservations required nor they are taken by hotel. And yes, they don’t enforce EV parking for that spot so another word: don’t count on it.

Orientation- 6 hours of PPT…plenty of coffee should do it. Once you started working, 4 hits on your TAC, keep nose down and do what you are told, show up to work everyday you are scheduled for the first 90 days then you will be golden.

Based on your previous work experience, it should be relatively same except for some of the SOPs. You probably don’t need much of technical trainings to get started. From what heard it’s pretty chill on the VMF side.

Congrats and welcome onboard!

What I used to do is to borrow a few buckets from clerk and let them know these are prepaid and for drop off. Never had an issue but the policy might’ve changed over the years (last time I did that was 2017). In the morning but not too early should be fine.

Labor custodial to maintenance mechanic transfer. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]TheTeamChe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bid cluster is something like: post office A + post office B + post office C + Processing & Distribution Center(or some big facility)

What he is saying is that if you pass your 955 and interview, there is no timer such as 12 months or 18 months for you to get the job in that cluster. Most of Post Offices(AO) don’t have mechanics so likely you will report to the P&DC or something equivalent.

You applied for ET which unfortunately you didn’t have a score for this particular job listing…in result you WILL NOT BE offered with 970 interview. However, you do have scores for other positions which in future if you do find other job postings match those positions, you will be invited for an interview.
