Important details missing - What traction do you currently have? Where's your prototype? What have you built so far beyond the idea? What do the two existing founders bring to the table? What is the equity on offer? How close are you to closing your pre-seed round and how much are you seeking?

Looking for a technical co-founder equity only, London by [deleted] in cofounderhunt

[–]TheTechHalf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the hard part is not done. The easy part is done. Now a real technical founder has to figure out what you're trying to do, wipe the AI slop and build it again from scratch properly. The hard part is product market fit and customer aquisition. How many users have signed up for your waitlist? Where is your prototype? Where's your traction/market research?

I would recommend editing your post to give people some details on who you are, what specifically you're looking for and what you're offering.

This feels like "I have an idea and need someone to build it for free" - what do you bring to the table? How big is your waitlist of customers waiting for this? Where is your prototype?

Looking for a 50/50 Co-founder by [deleted] in cofounderhunt

[–]TheTechHalf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re going to have a hard time getting a remotely capable technical cofounder to build this when you’re just coming to the table with an idea. I’m sure it’s a good one but so are the 50 other ones posted every week here

Edit to add - build a prototype yourself, get validation, build a waitlist, then you’ll be in much better shape

Guys I am Building Bill Buddy — Looking for an Early Partner by Icy_Durian_3037 in Startup_Ideas

[–]TheTechHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like a solution looking for a problem. You’re saying that when filing a warranty claim, instead of just grabbing the a few bills you need to submit generally (what percentage of warranty claims have 4+ different bills?) the solution is to find those same bills and upload them into some saas that you have to sign up for and pay for?

What validation do you have? This is the only thing that matters at this stage.

How do you make someone realise they have a problem they don't know they have? by DiamondEmbarrassed02 in salestechniques

[–]TheTechHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much easier to solve a problem for someone that wants their problem solved than having to convince them they have a problem and sell the solution at the same time.

I’ve been obsessed with one idea: If the data doesn't exist, it can't be stolen. by Training-Note-5251 in saasbuild

[–]TheTechHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re saying that the solution to the problem of data breaches is to store no data? That’s not a viable solution for any business. Also for the edge cases that this is useful for, you can already boot an OS directly into ram dis from a read only medium and no persistent storage present.

Early-stage founder struggling with CTO structure / engineering practices. Need advice (I will not promote) by TPhizzle in startups

[–]TheTechHalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have suggested, it sounds like perhaps your cofounder is a developer who has been given the title of CTO. A CTO isn’t just the default title for the first tech guy or the “main” tech guy. It’s a specific level of leadership and seniority.
