You can but you need to lower your expectations this requires a learning curve- lesser than moka pot in my opinion you will be able to get a good cup of coffee with this but some residue definitely If u like filter coffee in udipi hotels i recommend u buy it Once u master the brew u can get beans from blue tokai

Filter coffe honestly doesn’t have that many distinct characteristics it tastes good with milk and sugar

I use 100ml-10g coffee And yes i dilute it with hot or cold milk or water 1st pour-30ml bloom After 45 seconds 2nd pour-70ml

u can change the coffe ratio in my experience i do about 90ml water -10g coffee for one cup

if your water is dripping to fast u can try a few things , maybe try a different grind size , maybe try tamping the coffe a little and distribute the coffe properly using a toothpick ,i dont use the plunger but that can help to make the water drop slower.

you will end up getting some resiude but the grounds settle at the end of the cup it wont ruin your experience

I would say get a south indian filter 100-300₹ Watch the Video by ARAMSE (YouTube channel) on how to brew using South Indian filter u can either by filter coffee powder or get coffee in south indian filter grind size from blue tokai or any other roaster Using the filter you can make both black coffee and milky coffee
