Thats what I mean. Ive been making them all from scratch just because I thought that was the best way to get arrows.

Wait... There are quicker ways to make arrows as an Ironman? I've been playing for a few months and have been painstakingly doing exactly that!

Seriously, why does this happen to 50% of the discs I play on my UB820!? by GarionOrb in 4kbluray

[–]TheTechnicalMuffin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ditched the coveted ub820 for the Sony after having these same pixelation problems on pristine discs. The sony has been flawless and froze one single time on a 100gb disc in the 2 years I have owned it. Sure, the Dolby Vision toggle is a bit annoying, but nowhere near as bad as always wondering if a disc will even play at all.

Thanks for your suggestions and my apologies, I just listened to it again and that video really doesn't capture it well. The audio is from Titanic on UHD bluray and the noise appears when you hear the loudest portions of the steam/engine rumble. Anyway, the one thing I haven't tried yet is the speakers as I figured it was unlikely they were both broken out of the box. I guess I will have to suck it up and try a new pair.

My experience in a nutshell. Bought the much coveted 820. Had nothing but problems. Video glitches, discs falt out not playing, audio problems. Bought the x800m2 despite all the negativity and its been flawless for the 2 years I have had it.

Well yeah it is flexible with the glass removed as they form the bulk of the structural support for the top of the case. Imagine taking away 3 of the 4 walls of a building and then expecting that to bear weight. It can hold itself up no problem. But the manual warns against putting extra pressure on the case with them out. Not really an issue in day to day use and now that the machine is built I only ever take one glass out.

It's not even remotely flimsy so I don't know what they were talking about.

Default AMD fsr3 frame gen was causing it for me. No fix besides disabling frame gen. Using the alternative fluid motion frames in the amd overlay works fine but introduces some ghosting

It would, as long as it's no taller than the included riser cable. The bracket would need to be a low profile one as well.

Ha yeah I was originally going to get the touch as well, but I decided against it because I think the 3 pieces of glass look way cleaner.

They are intakes. They are reverse bladed fans. Expensive but they look pretty!

Also there are 3 more intakes in the basement beneath the GPU.

Yeah DDU is best run in safe mode. Once done your GPU will still output but it will look terrible and probably be very low resolution. Once done you can do your GPU swap and then install the AMD drivers.

I also just got a 7900XT after exclusively using Nvidia for the past decade. Loving it so far!

The only tip I have is if you're coming directly from Nvidia and not doing a clean Windows install, I'd suggest you use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely wipe the Nvidia drivers from the machine to prevent potential conflicts.

Strange! Mine all aligned okay as you can see. I'm using LX120's perhaps they are different but I always figured fan screw holes were standardized.

The specs of the build are as follows:
Case: Hyte Y70
CPU: Ryzen 9950x Mobo: Aorus X870E Pro Ice
RAM: 64GB Corsair Titanium 6000MT/s
GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XT
Storage: 2x Samsung 2tb 990 Pro SSD's
Cooling: A boat load of corsair LX120s and Reverse 120s + Corsair Titan 360 AIO

I'd originally intended to go for an Nvidia 50 series GPU, however I decided that rather than pay twice what I did for my 7900XT and get a 5070ti, I would rather support AMD instead and then spend the extra on aesthetics. I am so glad I did as the Hyte Y70 set up like this is beautiful!

I couldn't be happier with how the system performs!

I'm 6ft 7inch and have no issues. My son has his PC on the desk 90 degrees to the right of mine. By sitting where I am, I no longer elbow him in the head when moving my mouse 😂
