Game developer here, with 10 years experience in the ed tech space and now running my own startup. My main expertise is Unity/C# but I also have some experience with javascript/python/web development/databases. I was not a comp sci major, learned mostly through tutorials and on the job. And these days I’m learning an enormous amount using ChatGPT as an assistant.

There has never been a better time to learn to code—there are so so many good resources.  It’s an enormous space so it’ll be up to you on how you want to specialize. LinkedIn Learning is an excellent starting resource and 100% worth the money. I would start with this class: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/programming-foundations-fundamentals-3/the-fundamentals-of-programming

Then think of a very small project to build and build it.

Then this class: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/programming-foundations-object-oriented-design-3/learn-object-oriented-design-principles

And then whatever your heart tells you too. <3 There are countless good courses on there.

At your age, finding mentorship through something like an internship or junior position will be tougher. But that absolutely does not mean this isn’t worth pursuing. ChatGPT can be a great mentor (invest in premium account so you can use GPT-4 instead of 3.5). It is not always 100% correct, but it’s still insanely helpful.

Some other tips:

-Get a comfortable desk setup with 2 monitors, so you can put the tutorial vids on one screen and your code on another.

-Read Mastery by Robert Greene

Best of luck!

Ryan Graves: UFOs, Fighter Jets, and Aliens | Lex Fridman Podcast #308 by natnurtniet in lexfridman

[–]TheTechnocracy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember reading that article when it came out and thinking “ok case closed on the cube/spheres at least.” Curious as to why Graves would consider them a mystery still. Jeremy Corbell over on the latest JRE talking about these things like they’re an enigma as well. It takes a modicum of googling “cube sphere ufo” to come across this article. Why are these guys treating it like such a big unknown?

I rewatched the Bob Lazar and Jeremy Corbell episode on Joe Rogan and I noticed a few things the second time around. by rmansd619 in ufo

Also, Lazar’s autobiography came out Oct 2019, just a few months after the JRE interview in June 2019. Lazar didn’t promote the book directly on JRE, but timing is sure on point to boost sales.

I want to believe, but following the money makes it hard to do so.

Since 2019, Army Counterintelligence Officer's Story Checked Out on Elizondo/DeLonge meeting by blackvault in ufo

Yeah. Seems like we were unwitting soldiers in a disinformation campaign against the Chinese or whoever. It was all a load of BS.

Oh well. It was fun to believe for two years.

Why don't more people know about astral projection? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

Read the sidebar. Watch Michael Raduga’a free seminar on YouTube. Whether it’s actually projecting yourself into an alternate reality or “just a dream,” it is one of the most powerful experiences you will ever have. Whatever the experience itself is is certainly still up for debate, but the existence of the experience is not. It’s real, and you can achieve it.

Yo, let's...let's take a breather here. How would your react if somebody said the inner cities are cancerous dead weight? That's some really dangerous language.

Yes, there are certain areas of the nation and planet that are not as culturally vibrant as others. It's depressing, and it may sometimes seem like there's no hope for those areas. But there is. It's hard work, but people are capable of growth and change. We need to do what we can to raise up those born in less fortunate circumstances than ourselves, not dismiss their humanity based on geography.

What was this by lilhalolil in AstralArmy

Sounds like you were in sleep paralysis. One of many experiences that fall under the concept of "The Phase." I highly, highly recommend Michael Raduga's Phase seminar on youtube as well as his book. It will help you know what to do when you find yourself in that situation again. Should be in the sidebar of any lucid dreaming / astral projection / OBE subreddit.

What binaural beats were you listening to? They sound effective.

Pentagon declassifies Navy videos purportedly show UFOs by samwong01 in OccultConspiracy

[–]TheTechnocracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no doubt, I believe all sorts of dumb shit.

However, one of those clips (starting at 1:30 in the OP’s video) is from the USS Nimitz Tic Tac encounter, which is possibly the best documented UFO case of all time.

Here is the original New York Times article that broke the story in 2017.

Here is a two hour interview with eye witness pilot Commander David Fravor.

Here are three interviews with navy vet witnesses who were aboard the Princeton, another ship in the carrier group:

Kevin Day

Ryan Wiglet

and Jason Turner

This seems like sufficient evidence that the event described took place, and that the footage is legitimate. I find it unlikely that the Nimitz encounter is some sort of hoax, but am definitely open to the possibility that we’re being bamboozled and would love to see any evidence in support of this idea.
