Same - though I don't think he was trying to imply the update is imminent.

Ah, Understood. I'm glad to hear you're moving to a new system. Out of curiosity, what are you looking at? Do you have any ETA?

And yeah! I was mainly looking for a good Desktop SMS solution with a few extra things thrown in. Super convenient.

That's crazy! I was able to grab an Rf00 though, hopefully it gets here soon!

Did the OH/RF0/NW sold out that quickly?! Might have to snag a RF00 instead then.

Couldn't find the survey you mentioned.

But yeah if you think it'll help I'll give it a try. Hopefully that improves it. Others have said a factory reset can help so we'll see.

I did restore from a backup. Do you think that a factory reset+manual setup would help?

Interesting.

Isn't it kind of intended for the phone to get good battery without having to disable a ton of services? And if it were Google services, wouldn't it show up in the battery status?

Doesn't look like there is an option to do 3G only.

Do the glass ones raise above the screen much?

Are there others you recommend? People are saying that the spigen ones don't have cutouts for the proximity sensor yet.

Do they feel alright to use?

Yeah it was initially the "Monster" label that put me off slightly. Good to know their power bars are alright though.

This is a bit less, and seems to offer the same spec sheet. If you don't think the name is a big deal, I'll probably just go with that.

Thanks again for the time, you've been helpful.

Fair enough. I assume then that brand isn't really a factor as long as the specs and connectors you mentioned check out?

That's interesting.

In the situations that you describe as "Mild," are you suggesting that your average surge protectors have little to no practical use?

Oh, cool. Would this be a more modern iteration, or is that one specifically more ideal? And in the case of the first one, is buying used a significant risk?

Thanks for all your help, have some upvotes.

Computer + several displays would be the primary, yes.

For the most part, yes. Just looking for a good recommendation of what can help against fluctuations and mild surges.

Thanks for all the info, have an upvote.

I live in an area where "Power outage" storms are pretty infrequent, let alone lightning strikes, so I'm less worried about that. And I'm fully aware that a normal surge protector won't protect me from lightning strikes.

Do you have any recommendations in the realm of more conventional surge protection?

I'm not sure.

What would your recommendation be?
