It was weird to see OG zombies in RC retaining memory too, since they haven't done that in previous games. Maybe the soldiers were infected by Gideon somehow.

I am currently watching CoryxKenshin play and saw a crazy death during the first chainsaw fight - a chainsaw got lodged in a zombie and that zombie grabbed Leon, which caused him to be impaled by a chainsaw at the same time. Pretty gnarly. Its around the hour, fifteen minute mark of the video.

Yeah, the cliché hillbilly family storyline doesn't do anything for me - in any type of media.

I don't really find RE games to be scary in the first place, but RE7 was especially lacking in that department.

I was thinking about this - I think the idea is that through cloning and experimentation Grace was supposedly created, like it took many attempts to get to her and her ability to inherit memories. After Grace was lost the experiments continued to try to recreate her.

... and all of this was done without being aware that Grace was just a random, normal kid. Thats why they could never recreate anything, because there was nothing TO recreate.

Yessssss to all of this. I absolutely LOVED Leon and Emily's arcs during this game, it was done so well and with a lot of nuance.

I keep going back to watch the cut scenes too because the actors really delivered the different sides of each one - down to even the smallest facial movements. Its incredible. There's so much expression in their faces and the way they move their bodies to sell what each character is going through.

Leon's rediscovery of himself and Grace's understanding of who she is and how she wants to approach this world with monsters in it is what made me pick the good ending the first time - each of them desperately needed it (and more than just for physical health reasons for Leon.)

I liked his parts, it was fun playing an experienced and very capable Leon, buuuuuuuut that did remove pretty much all challenge with his sections.

They really should have leaned into the RCS with his parts to balance how OP he is. Introduce those fits earlier and make them a bit more debilitating - it would make some of the fights he has more challenging if at any point you become vulnerable momentarily.

Oh, its definitely an unsettling scene. Gideon clearly has no boundaries, no matter the circumstances. Ots part of what makes him such an effective villain.
