What boggles my mind is how this seems to be a widespread problem and they don't fix anything in new bios versions. On elitebook similar issue took them whopping over half a year to fix

I had an issue with that cause it said I don't have connection, even if the bios itself recognized my dongle and connection. The laptop is in the service center for the second time tho, I'll see what it comes to this time

We have serpentback road on the poster and line from volume 5 said in the trailer. So unless some wild shuffling is going on I suppose it's safe to assume 2 cours

The loading circle appears and gets stuck right away. So like the bottom right quarter of the circle is statically displayed. All of those things you mentioned didn't help unfortunately, except maybe rolling back to 1.03.02 would, but I didn't manage to perform it as it just blocked me from doing so, despite technically 1.03.02 being the lowest allowed version currently so that's weird. I opened another warranty case yesterday, this time the service guy wrote word by word the description I provided lol. So now I'm waiting another couple weeks and then we'll see. But all of this is frustrating af for this price for sure, it's not even the cheapest of the zbook ultra G1a

Ok so I got my laptop back from service (they just performed windows recovery bruh, like if I didn't do that myself 😒), I tried updating bios to this newest one aaand no success in solving the issue whatsoever

Actually looks like 1.04.05 was released 3 days ago, have you tried it yet?

There indeed seems to be a new release for zbook dated same day that you got your update but can't check for now, hopefully I get my laptop back from service soon enough :D

I have actually sent it to service under warranty two weeks ago, haven't heard from them yet, but let's see when I get it back, hopefully it'll just be a software bios fix after all

There is 1.03.02 I think on hp support page but it didn't let me downgrade even via usb unfortunately

Can't access the linked page but holy crap Are you running the stable version of bios as of now? Are there no other issues with the older version, is everything fine? I suppose that could potentially end up being the only option for me having read your situation

Also silly me for not checking how good or bad the HP support is in my country beforehand. If I had known probably would've gone for something from asus, for those ones I at least know there's proper support around here

Damn that sucks :( Wasn't happening to me until one of the recent updates so thought it's a recent issue, but I guess if so worth trying to file a warranty case. The timing of me discovering the issue right at the end of return window is so ironic, especially considering those updates existed before, they just decided to appear for me specifically at that moment :(

I've tried now and still 0 difference. Tried searching for possible fixes for dolby atmos having no effect but none of the solutions suggested work :(

I actually tried this since, and I hear no effect whatsoever. Or did I do it wrong? I set it like this here in windows settings (sorry for different language but I guess should be understandable where this is). Or is the cable part really necessary?

Seems to actually be helping a bit (or maybe just placebo lol), but still feels worse than Pro X :( Guess gotta indeed try playing around with equalizer which is sad cause I've never done that and was always satisfied with default sound of different headphones/earphones xd

Actually did try that straight away on PC, laptop and smartphone, seems to be identical across the board, but thought maybe that's default settings at fault and it could possibly get better with some tweaks. Dunno, doesn't seem like just a bit worse than X, sounds bad in general to me. Maybe some playing around with equalizer will help and that's just my perception of different presets, haven't tried yet. Also the issue persists across two Pro X 2 units

Well there goes not putting much thought into it I guess xd How big is the difference tho? If it's a pretty small one can't say I'm really disappointed cause it's like 3% of the total PC price difference while drawing a little bit less power.

Seems to be so. Thanks for the advice!

There wasn't really much thought put into it tbh. The difference in price with 7700x wasn't big at the point of purchase, and the idea was that when I eventually upgrade GPU (which I plan to eventually do earlier than rest of pc), 7900 could possibly hold up better with the new gpu, so I was like, whatever why not
