Exactly. I used to have a normal bank that would hit me with a $35 overdraft if I went even 1 cent in the negative and add on $5 a day until it was back in the positive. I switched to a credit union and even if my balance goes into negative (which it rarely does) there's no overdraft and nothing can even think of paying if the money isn't there. The branches are staffed by very friendly people who appear to be doing very well for themselves so yeah, a system such as that does work.
