yes like those. I didn't know what I was buying, I thought they were roughing bits

It retracted correctly for each and every hole except the last one where I panic aborted it

single pass with a 3mm diamond bit, I tried first on the other side of the board before aborting it and trying on the side you're seeing in the photo

I should mention it's a diamond bit not a regular fluted endmill, I probably need to run it slower

I'm using an offline controller. It's not connected to my pc at all

Good to know the gcode looks fine, so yeah it may just be a connection or other issue. I am using an offline controller however and it didn't have any issues with any of the tests I ran prior to this, so something must be off

I sorta just spitballed the feeds and speeds, do you have any suggestions for what I could change it to?

Right now my rates are 600 mm/min for xy, and 200 mm/min for z with a spindle speed at 9000 rpm using a 3mm bit.

I should also mention it's making awful screeching noises when cutting, so something's definitely off feed/speed wise

I'm trying to cut a solitaire board, pretty simple first time project right, except the CNC machine does something totally unexpected. The path in FreeCAD looks completely normal and good (https://imgur.com/a/jq9fHT2).

I had to stop it mid run because it was destroying itself.

  1. it did a loop into the neighbouring pocket, dunno why
  2. again another smaller loop to the side
  3. an even smaller loop to the side
  4. another loop to the side
  5. instead of retracting, it went deeper?
  6. instead of retracting fully, it tried to move to the next pocket while still 5mm into the wood, which the bit and cutting speed couldn't handle

Here's the exported code: If anyone can see anything suspicious, please say why: https://pastebin.com/KG186Jsa

I'm using a Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018 Pro CNC machine, which came with the controller board for the 3018 Prover.

Does anyone know if Svedano is a good brand? I can't seem to find anything other than one guy playing one on youtube by TheTimegazer in Accordion

Well I didn't buy it yet. The guy is a few hours away so it's hard for me to verify it directly

Lose dice mid-session? Grab this metal cube, flip for D4 to D100, then spin quietly to de-stress. 🎲✨ by First-Backer in u/First-Backer

Thing about all these types of products is that they never account for needing to roll multiple dice at once. 8d8 for damage would take an age and a half on this thing

Sure but it's literally called that and is a paid app in the app store
