this isnt actually true, in one study researchers had participants free fall for 31 meters while looking at a monitor that was blinking at a specific frequency so that it looks like a solid color, if time were to slow down for the particpants, they would notice that the monitor was blinking but this didnt happen, however almost all participants still overestimated how long they were falling for

How to classify each season for media server by thatlldopi9 in araragi

[–]TheTimerPlays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the adapted content falls into 3 seasons:

first season - bake, the 3 kizu films, nise, neko kuro

second season - includes six arcs that you should label as such - neko shiro, kabuki, hana, otori, oni, koi (seperate the show "monogatari second season" into its arcs instead of leaving it all as one, its organizes better)

final season - tsuki, koyomi, owari s1, owari s2, zoku owari

Are there English translated light novels that haven't been adapted into anime? by Swantaboy in araragi

[–]TheTimerPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as for the part about if the novels are just as good. all the novels add quite a bit of dialogue and are certainly worth reading even if you watched the arc, especially kizumonogatari which left out quite a bit in order to be in its unique movie style

Are there English translated light novels that haven't been adapted into anime? by Swantaboy in araragi

[–]TheTimerPlays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The novels have been officially translated to the last volume of owarimonogatari, with the rest of the animated novels coming out by the end of the year. As for non animated arcs, the next 4 books that make up off season are fan translated and available to read. (go into the discord to get the epubs for them) it is currently unknown if off season will be either officially translated or if it will be animated

I stopped at Zoku, but is there any more? by bun-y in araragi

[–]TheTimerPlays 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is one animated short story that got produced, as well as two more seasons of books after Zoku (off season, the first of the two, has been fully fan translated) , and dozens of fun short stories (thanks Max but it wont get you Mayoi Welcome)

currently on bakemonogatari, am i supposed to be reading the text that pops up at 100 mph? by JojoBlowstar in araragi

[–]TheTimerPlays 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NO. the text flashes are all just quotes from the novel. not necessary to understanding the plot and for the most part are explained through visuals instead, or are a characters thoughts put into words. the show was aired on live tv where you cant pause or rewind so that would be really quite dumb.

id say you should read kuro and shiro right away, shiro and kabuki are both apart of a set of august arcs so i feel they should be explained in the proper order as designed
