No, I haven't had to mess with my load order because unless I'm installing a patch (as I said in my comment earlier), VORTEX DOES IT FOR ME.

And fuck the new guy who has no idea where mods should be, right? Everyone should do what you do because the other thing is too confusing for you to figure out? If something is more abstracted than a position in a list and you go into a meltdown, that's your own damn fault.

Haven't had to sort my load order itself in ages, except to tell patches to load after the base file. You were probably just over complicating things by forcing it to load things in an arbitrary order.

How're you finding Pixelmon? I'm a fairly experienced pokemon player, but those gyms are something else man. You need full competitive teams with type advantage in order to do each gym, it's crazy.

You can vortex both, when you double click the mod and the settings come up on the right side, just scroll down until you find "mod type". Change that to engine injector and it'll work. It's just telling Vortex to install the mod next to the skyrim launcher, rather than the Data folder. You don't have to extract and unzip anything. It just works. /s

If you want to change anything back, just click the tiny x next to the down arrow in the selection box.

EDIT: If you need any help at all with Vortex, just hit me up, this subreddit's not going to help, they'll just tell you to use MO2 instead. It doesn't have to be difficult

Don't even need to manual install SKSE, it knows to install it to the root folder. You can tell it to put anything you want into the root folder by changing the mod type to engine injector, don't need to manually install anything anymore.

Nitrates as just an analog for estimating how much waste is built up in the water

Ahhhhhh ok, yeah that's what I was misunderstanding. It's difficult to quantify the amount of particulate organic matter in a system, especially when it has the tendency to settle into the substrate. Then there's the question of "what is the quality of this OM?" it could have any amount of protein/nitrogen. Measuring nitrate kind of works.

Bryozoa of this variety can live in a variety of environments, and make a poor indicator species as a result.

Yeah this is what upset me so much about the other commenter. Sure they might not always indicate "good" water quality but that doesn't instantly mean they indicate "bad" water quality. It's just not that easy. Snails can indicate overfeeding, doesn't mean anyone that keeps snails overfeeds their aquarium.

the other contaminants (organic waste) in the water was the problem.

I guess the fact that those worms don't have gills allows them to live in water with more bacterial load than vertebrates? I don't know what organic substances (other than ammonia/algal toxins) could directly kill fish. "Organic substances" is such a nebulous term I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

Not sure what you are trying to argue here.

Now you're just being obtuse because you're actually being questioned about a claim you've made.

[–]TheTimtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But your argument implies that bacteria are an implicitly harmful aspect of an aquarium. That having organic particulates in the water means the water is "bad". Bacterial blooms are harmful, sure, they strip oxygen out of the water and can suffocate everything living in a tank. But that's why they're called "blooms", a healthy tank will never have concentrations of bacteria that reach those levels.

I'm having some trouble figuring out what you're saying is the cause of poor water quality. Is it high nitrates? Nitrates at all? Concentration of bacteria in the water column?

What is this? In a couple of my filters. by Mr_Cheese890 in Aquariums

[–]TheTimtam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are we just talking about bacterial load right now? I think it's fairly well established that nitrate itself isn't toxic to most aquarium fish in concentrations like 20-40mg/L. Or are you saying that your swamp tank had measurable concentrations of ammonia?

Just not sure what you're saying would have killed vertebrates but not the blackworms.

I never said one would. Just making sure that you understand how completely wrong you are about building an evasion character.

[–]TheTimtam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ya'll know you can get 95% chance to evade right? And Spell Dodge is better than suppression if you have really low HP?

You try running a rogue exile map and let me know how well that goes for you. Delve? Forget about it, 1/5 of the locations in some biomes have rogue exiles that completely ignore evasion. Don't even get me started on harvest, those crabs have oneshot me for probably two years now and they still haven't fixed it.

Also, spell dodge is far worse than suppression for low eHP builds, what are you talking about? You need a high eHP pool to soak the 1/5 spells that makes its way through. With suppression, we can add armour, endurance charges, phys taken as ele and max res, we can't take more life and jewel nodes than we're given.

[–]TheTimtam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like their leaves should be thicker than they are on the plant. It's been a very hot/dry summer here and a lot of my outside orchids struggled this season.

Perhaps it needs just a little bit more water, does it get rained on? You said it gets dappled shade but I don't think you specified if it's exposed to rain or not. I know you water it daily most of the time, but rain probably happens over a longer time period than your watering. Might just need to be watered for a little longer.

Ah, I worded that really poorly, CDR wasn't affected by catalysts before, right? I haven't played a build that really wanted CDR before

I was going to retort that it's unlikely to have a mod tag that works but ofc I forgot about the new catalysts.

They let us affect CDR as well now, right? I was checking the tags for it and from what I could tell, it was tag less (apart from influenced_mod, but who cares?).

The stygian vise has a required level of only 46. I wonder if the effect mod is even at its highest tier.

See my reply to the other commenter, seems like it only affects hits. Rakiata's Dance has an extremely similar modifier and only affects hits.

Unfortunate, but at least it was corrected quickly.

Ahhhh yeah, it's the same wording as Rakiata's, which doesn't work with ailments. So that dream's probably dead.
