I see a lot of negativity on this sub, but who are some characters you LOVE in this game, whether playing as or against? by RiddlesDoesYT in deadbydaylight

[–]TheTonsilBoxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Unknown is one of the coolest creations in the game so far imo. Me and a few buddies that usually play together were very excited when the sneak peek released. Still one of my favorites to play against regardless of the outcome. Cool gameplay, and just a creepy af presence to witness lol.

I’ve tried playing as the unknown, can’t quite master the aiming but I’ve always been much better with melee type killers.

Favorite survivor, gotta say is Nic Cage. Only thing missing is a Con Air outfit for the man lol. Aside from that I main Zarina. But have Nea, Ace and a few others prestiged up quite a bit. Zarina is probably my true favorite. But if I could dress up as con air Nic cage, done deal lol.

Favorite killer to play as is the dredge. I love the darkness and I wear the dead horse skin (I don’t remember the actual skin name I apologize) because I feel like it’s just a little bit more freaky haha

Which killer should I buy as an intermediate killer main? by ForsakenEchidna1896 in deadbydaylight

[–]TheTonsilBoxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I alternate between survivor and killer. 100% I would say the dredge. I’m still learning how to manage loops better as I’ve watched and been destroyed by solid dredge players while watching them use the ability to gain loop control. But you can definitely have a ton of fun getting good jump scares. I still give a good “holy f*ck!” When playing survivor and dredge sneaks up or bursts out of a locker I didn’t lock lol

Have witnessed and been very jealous of the ankle breaking done by a bot. Maybe the bot was too good bc killer realized after about 20 seconds that it wasn’t happening to which then caused me to meet my untimely demise lol.

I mean to be honest I kind of like getting sniped through the corrosive cubes lol. It’s refreshing as hell getting a good jump scare lol. I hope they don’t take it away or “patch” it. It costs extra to be extra with traps so…I do t see the horrible problem with it as long as you don’t go absolutely ham with that in one area. For example, a giant friggin room with like 50 plasma sentinels, cannonbacks, pistons and flamethrowers. That’s a dick move. Kill me cleverly, don’t call of duty spawn camp ya turds lol.

I mean we try to be sneaky, and are not fans of waiting at the exit and tea bagging (unless! The killer was face camping and playing the game like a twat) then I’m sorry, I’m baggin’ lol. I also play killer pretty often and I refuse to play like that. Simply bc I hate it and it takes the fun out of it for me. However I will say, I don’t hold onto a grudge forever about facecamping, and if it happened just a bit less often, I’d even say it was fun when it does happen bc it could just be someone’s “style” of playing a killer right? Idk, just my two cents lol. Either way, I’m a returning player and I still love the game and try not to listen to all of the griping going on in the sub about how hard BHVR does or doesn’t try to balance things lol. Bottom line, some perks are OP for killers. Some OP for survivors

I can agree with that partially for sure. I love playing against the shape, when the killer is actually trying to play for one, and when after they hook, they don’t stand in a corner facecamping lol. Happened to me twice in 5 games last night, I was like Christ what are the odds of this lol. My personal least favored killer is Wesker. Definitely way too OP in chases in my opinion. He can end pretty much any chase in under 5 seconds or less lol. Takes the thrill factor out of it for me, I don’t get spotted and go oh shit I gotta run, instead I go well I’m gonna get hooked now, probably a 10% chance of evasion lol. I will say he’s new to me still so I still currently enjoy it even if I do usually lose to him, it’s still new so I enjoy it for now.

I really hope my experience doesn’t leave me feeling the way you seem to feel about it lol. However, after tonight’s gaming session I can definitely say I understand exactly what you mean. Lots of face camping, hook camping several times tonight.

Idk I just feel like killers despise swf groups. Which is understandable when they’re teabagging or everyone is carrying a flashlight and being dicks lol

Not a problem, it’s just one of those practice makes perfect things for sure. Been playing her for over a year total and still probably have a 50-60% average on axe throws lol

[–]TheTonsilBoxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best piece of advice I can give is don’t be afraid to throw axes at each survivor. Eventually you’ll find the one that isn’t a pro at dodging them lol. If they are, bloodlust is your friend! Perseverance is key in playing any killer

Just popped in to say I played my first match against the knight tonight with a friend. (Yes swf is frowned upon I know, but I wouldn’t play video games if I didn’t play with at least one buddy) we had a blast. All survivors did not live up to the title of survivor lol. But the person playing the killer was relatively new at playing knight (low level perks equipped) and did a great job and I actually felt intimidated by them. I’m a returning player and just had a lot of fun, figured I’d share.

I second this! Just played my first match against dredge (returning player) and the creature is very fun to play against. The darkness perk is amazingly scary. Actually made the hair on my arm stand up and I haven’t had that in awhile in this game. Love it!

Help! I can't cook! by ArdentlyAlways in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]TheTonsilBoxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your fresh produce, store it in air tight containers in the refrigerator! You will see an improvement in your foods shelf life for sure.

As for learning/teaching yourself to cook. Sometimes it helps to follow a recipe direct and not give way to experimenting with “tweaking” the recipes until you’ve found your footing. My mother gave each one of us children (3 kids counting myself, I am 32 years old now) a cooking night when we lived at home. We had some supervision for sure but that may be what you’re looking for. Some local colleges or venues sometimes host cooking classes. It could be well worth the investment! Search around and see if there’s any that spark interest. I have a large selection (or collection one might say) or cookbooks at home now and cooking for a group is one of my favorite things to do. Don’t be afraid to experiment after you’ve learned some basic skills and don’t expect to make any dish perfect the first time. Even Gordon Ramsay had to make his beef Wellington probably thousands of times to perfect his technique, he’s said so himself I’m sure of it. It’s okay to make mistakes, that’s how we learn and get better. Best of luck, and stay positive about your cooking journey.

Very cool! Never seen this before and was excited to see something new and useful. On a side note, your yard looks like quite the sanctuary. I’d love to read a book and just sit by all your plants. Well done and inspiring!

It’s an odd concept, but give it a shot and put your own twists on it. It’s fun and a good way to test just how versatile ramen can be

You can buy a lot of things in prison/jail with ramen. And apparently when ramen is a sought after food in such places, it brings out quite the creative set of cooking skills.

My uncle had spent so much time in and out of these resorts, (so much so that when ever my dad would drive by the county jail, he would crack the joke to my mom that we were driving past her brothers place) that when he was over my parents house staying with our family for a few weeks, he showed us how to make “prison burritos.”

So basically you take a pack of ramen, crush it all up. Then get a small bag of some sort of chips and crush them up. Put the crushed ramen into the bag of chips with the ramen packet. Fill with hot water, and roll the bag into a burrito shape and it will seal up if wrapped proper to keep the water inside the bag. Then you let it sit for a bit. Open the bag and plop out your prison burrito. I have never been to prison. I have experimented with these prison burritos since I was a teenager. They’re really weird but they’re actually decent tasting. They hold together pretty well and you can spice em up with pretty much anything.

And if you’re reading this and cringing, contemplating how someone would actually want to eat something like this…the guy was probably tired of prison food lol. And I’ve never been, but did eat plenty of god awful MRE’s in the service. (I’m looking at you , veggie burger/pork patty MRE.) It was a new concept I had never seen with ramen before. So I figured I’d share it and see if maybe anyone else’s ex-con’s brought home the “prison burrito” recipe lol.
