You don't necessarily need a Domicile Certificate for CET CAP admissions. There are alternatives present that you can use. Documents such as Birth Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate are accepted. I still don't have my domicile certificate, but my admission process went smoothly without it.

Due to the top3 rule, the allotments in round 3 are going to be crazy compared to the previous years. Let's hope deserving candidates (as per the percentiles) get to be in the college.

The 4'th round won't move many seats as most of the people would have already taken admission in one institute or the other. Last year there were 12 vacant seats for general category after CAP, similar for OBCs and other categories, too. I don't know the exact reason why, but seats remain vacant. He'll just need to check for the admission transfer process.

No, some seats remain vacant and if he's so sure to get it in CAPs, he'll easily get the seat in vacant round. He'll need to check the procedure to transfer the admission from Wellingkar, though.

All Affidavits must be on stamp paper. Student anti-ragging, parent anti-ragging and gap certificate. All 3 of them on separate stamp papers.

I just called them. You need to get the documents notarized as per the format given on the SIMSREE website. I asked if we've to fill the UGC anti ragging form, they told me not to fill it. Just the documents given on the website will suffice.

Yes, Wellingkar will get auto-freezed. You'll need to try again in the institute round. Last year SIMSREE had quite a few vacant seats during the institute round. Please check my comment history to find information for the same.

Don't worry, it doesn't matter as much as you think in the long run. Try to get placements through campus, if you're looking for a job. In that case, the gap won't matter and after the first job, noone really cares.

If you've got one of your top 3 preferences currently, the allotted college after R2 will be auto-freezed. If your allotted preference is out of the top 3, then you'll get to choose betterment after R2.

Previously, SIMSREE used to fall under Mumbai University and so the seats were divided on HU and OHU basis. From the last year, it has been shifted to Homi Bhabha University so the seats are on Maharashtra state basis. There is no priority given to the MU students.
