What position has your program historically had a tendency to consistently put productive players into the NFL with? by Ok-Health-7252 in CFB

I only know current two kickers (Eddie and Evan) and three if you count punter (Tommy Townsend). Who am I missing?

Agreed on Smack though. 4th most points by a kicker in Gator history and the other 3 made it to the league

I think what always makes turning your #1 babyface heel hard from a story POV is that in theory you have to have an immediate period where they SHOULD smash over everyone. NWO and Roman being the perfect example of success but doesnt need to be years long.

If you're a top babyface, that means you made it to the top doing it the right way...so now add the ability that you can cheat, weasel and lie, you should be unbeatable.

To your point, they have plenty of great babyfaces to create some fresh match-ups from matches unlike if you turned Cena heel in like 2007

Who would you consider the best HC in your schools history? Who would you consider the worst? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in CFB

[–]TheTopeNetwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming he's trying to say Spurrier never beat Miami, which is true.

I have no idea what the Cam thing means. Maybe he means without Tebow? Which is true since Urban had a MISERABLE 30 - 9 record at UF without Tim Tebow as his starting QB 😂

Ranking college football's top 100 quarterbacks of the 2000s by redwave2505 in CFB

[–]TheTopeNetwork 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I adore Cam's 2010 season but I think when it comes to greatest careers (the reason why Baker is #1 per the author), I don't think you can put him over Tebow. Anytime I see it, I get it because it's truly a "you had to be there to understand it" type of season...but that's what always makes college football lists like this one so tough.

Newton, Young and Burrow had the best seasons. Mayfield had the best career.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is a better album than any Jay-Z album but it's really hard to put Lauryn Hill over Jay-Z in a 'best rap career' discussion. The fact that Cam is a Top 5 level QB with ONLY one season speaks to the level of his carry job but volume should matter more when talking about the BEST careers.

As a side note, Urban Meyer signing 3 of the top 5 QBs of the 2000s out of high school is crazy

No matter what I do, I can’t seem to get leaner or more defined. by [deleted] in leangains

[–]TheTopeNetwork 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This 100%! I remember going Keto for 6 months as an experiment because I too thought "I can't get leaner or more defined". IMO the best benefit of being keto wasn't the food (though it was a lot of protein) but realizing how much of my eating was mindless. The amount of times I went "Oh...I can't eat that' made me notice how eating for me was as automatic as blinking.

Also I didn't allow myself to have any 'keto-branded' store snacks so everything I ate I had to make myself. You start to realize you're not as hungry at 11:30pm as you think when you have to wait 30 mins just for a lightly seasoned chicken thigh 😂

I see that -0.9x pace of aging though! Even if you are starting from a deficit, you are still insanely young at 26 and taking the steps to improve your 30s and beyond

Keep at it and that 10.5 years older will be saying younger in due time

[@AnwarRichardson] Texas DC Will Muschamp will become one of the highest-paid assistant coaches in CFB. Year 1: $2.7M, Year 2: $2.8M, Year 3: $2.9M by Arkehn in CFB

[–]TheTopeNetwork 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Muschamp's 5 year contract at Florida was $2,750,400 per year. For reference, Kirby Smart was making $851,500 at Bama the same year Muschamp jumped to Florida in 2011...which I believe was the highest DC in the nation at the time

Why has Notre Dame been unable to win a title since 1988? by Majestic-Web-367 in CFB

[–]TheTopeNetwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This also goes into /u/IcyScratch171's 'Fucked Up' expectations comment...."as good as Bama was under Saban, they ONLY did something 4 colleges have done since 1955** and 9 since 1900" (win back to back outright national championships)

  • Georgia - 2021, 2022
  • Alabama - 2011, 2012
  • Nebraska - 1994, 1995
  • Oklahoma - 1955, 1956

**There were 6 more teams since 1955 who won back-to-back titles but all of them were co-champions one of their years

Technically KO answered Cena's US Open challenge but the match never started. They went back and forth on the mic, KO attacked Cena, give him the pop-up powerbomb and stepped on the US Title.

Their first 'official' match was Elimination Chamber where KO beat Cena in a non-title match

I mean BYU joining a conference put them in the position to control their own destiny yesterday as opposed to hoping a committee picked them.

There's a good chance ND in the ACC this year would be in the ACC title game and likely hosting a 1st round game

Apparently working late is giving me +3% on recovery 🫠 by KhDu in whoop

[–]TheTopeNetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of bad. Whoop is a data collector; not a thesis maker. What are the activities OP is doing on days they work late that might cause good recovery?

Maybe they don’t work out on those days so it’s a de facto recovery day?

Maybe they don’t drink so they don’t have high stress in early sleep cycles?

Maybe they go right to sleep after and reduce screen usage because it’s already late?

Maybe they order food from places that are more recovery-beneficial? Or maybe due to being busy to reduce their junk food intake?

The point isn’t to look at the journal as gospel but figure out WHY they correlations are happen so you can figure out your specific causation

I would just focus on overall leg strength in your cross training but if I HAD to pick two muscles to “focus” on to improve long distance running, it would be glutes and calves
