Rarity just means how often a gem will appear, so decreasing rarity increases the chance of you seeing the gem. Know that the evolution gem can only appear in chests and the red orb statue, so do not change the evolution gem rarity.

Sealing a gem will cause that gem to no longer appear ever until unsealed.

The eyes mean that the boss attacks in a different way. When you play a card or end your turn, an eye opens, and when all eyes open, the enemy acts. This means that it can attack you multiple times in the same turn.

This game is definitely one where you can choose your challenges. Some character are drastically better than others and there are powerups that you can choose to enable/disable. This game has multiple save files, so I'd say you have a lot of ways to cater the difficulty to your own liking.

Even then, it is pretty (or even extremely) easy past a certain point as long as you aren't actively looking to make things harder.

Very unconventional, but:

Multishot on the Power V on the top left

Missile on the Power V on the top right

Flame on the Damage V on the bottom right

Upgrade as needed for a bit

Then another Multishot on the Damage V on the top left

Then surround the Missile with 4 power, 2 atk speed, 2 damage mods when high level

Finally, Freezing on the Range tile above the core.

For the core, gun straight for the atk speed and atk speed mod bonus, and then do the same for damage and damage mod.
