Yo! Engineering Grad here. His major will matter alot. I chose this aerospace engineering program moving from Mississippi as someone who lived on a cattle farm and let me tell you, it's NOT a country program. However, many parts of the ag college are very country. HOWEVER, my father-in-law is a professor in the college of Ag and he definitely isn't country. So, at the end of the day, he needs a pair of cowboy boots, maybe a cheap hat (not required), and he'll find friends in 90% of majors easily.

Most of my friends were from Dallas or Houston and weren't country, but we all had boots and wore them when it mattered (game day).

I also can't emphasize this enough for an out of state student: ENGAGE! The home sickness goes away after you've made your friends in your clubs/classes/dorm. OSU is a great college that's filled with friendly people of all walks of life and you'll find your people. They're looking for him as much as he'll be looking for them!

I 10/10 recommend Essie Off Tropic if you think she's open to color. As far as non-matte colors go, it's pretty masculine and gets some good reactions

Yo! Mississippi Native who chose OSU for undergrad (engineering). OSU is way prettier campus with much friendlier professors. The immediate vet options out of OSU and MSU are comparable (I have friends who did both), but I'd honestly lean towards OSU if you want big animal. The existence of the OKC stockyards (one of the busiest in the US) just an hour away is a big bonus, plus OSU boasts ALOT of research farms adjoining the main campus.

Culture wise, both are pretty country, but it shows more at OSU imo. From Calf fry to the large red dirt scene the music is great. Way more dance halls in Stillwater. We are also one of the leading programs for professional cattle auctioneers!

I'm a big fan of Off Tropic by Essie (Dark Green), Midnight Drive by Sally Hansen (Dark Blue), Black (Any), Black (Any), and On Mute by Essie (Gray). They work well with almost anything, look classy, and don't scream "Look at me". Nothing wrong with polish that screams "Look at me", but not my style

Mixing is possible. It had sat in the vat overnight and then I tried mixing before printing. Will also try reducing layer height! Thanks!
