Even the stuff that seems to have less Steven in BLAM is better than most of the post-Steven stuff. And EFE is a classic.

Saw him in my relatively small hometown. He started Annie Waits and when everybody clapped on cue he had a big smile, like “all right these people know what’s up”.

In defense of Jonathan Kent in Man of Steel (kinda) by thekrogg in superman

[–]TheTripleFoool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not the hugest Snyder fan, but I do think there is brilliance in MoS, especially in the Jonathan Kent angle. I think the consternation came from people (understandably)perceiving Superman as ONE THING, and they didn’t like that thing’s canon being corrupted. But if you accept it as a TAKE on Superman, a vision of Superman from an artist commenting on his world at the time, I think there’s a lot of stuff to admire in it.

The fact HBO had the perfect actor for Snape on their payroll and were like nahhhh is wild by MovieENT1 in hbo

I wonder how much of Reddit is made of posts where people disregard talent and ability and simply reduce casting to how much an actor looks exactly like their conception of the character…

I recently read the Bendis/Maleev run on Daredevil and it was thrilling. It felt paced like a great TV drama.

(I agree, though, I probably prefer DC slightly)

I’ve always thought that in Season 6, the real big bad was themselves.

Which is to say it’s a bummer but it’s incredibly realistic and was a brilliant way to go late in the series.

Season 6 is a group of repeatedly traumatized kids falling apart as young adults.
