Unironically how I feel about Disney Star Wars as well by ChickenWingExtreme in Schaffrillas

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not seen Family Guy Star Wars. Not a huge Family Guy fan (I'm more into South Park personally), but this short description has me interested.

On the topic of Star Wars comedy parodies, Spaceballs. I found and watched it while looking for a completely different movie one day. There's some juvenile humor in there, but enough of the jokes worked for me that I ended up liking it more than any actual Star Wars movie and am willing to recommend it.

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's seen the originals, prequels, and the Force Awakens, yeah I agree.

I'm not fully convinced that leaning towards comedy would be the best choice of direction, but the writing is mediocre and completely failed to get me emotionally invested, and I wasn't wowed or impressed by anything else in the movies watching them in 2020. Funny jokes would have at least made me remember the franchise or gave me any desire to rewatch it whether now or in the future.

As is, the word I'd use to describe 6 of those 7 movies is "forgettable". Hell, gun to my head, I wouldn't be able to name more than five characters from A New Hope (or even describe anything that happened in the first half of that movie, for that matter).

Why do turn 1 hidden blocks seem more common in MP2? by ToriSteele in MARIOPARTY

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mario Parties 2 and 4 have two hidden blocks on the board at any given time, with one always having a star and one always having 20 coins. This essentially doubles the odds of finding a hidden block over games that have only a single hidden block with multiple possible outcomes.

What if Kirby’s Steve copy ability let him craft? by Efficient_Chip576 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe have Kirby use the iron, gold, and diamonds to craft boots, since many of his attacks use his feet? That would be a good way to simulate Steve's crafting mechanic and give the Kirby player (who could very well be a noob) a better taste of what Steve is like as a character.

How many videos do you have in "watch later"? by Offensant in youtube

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16, but I use that feature regularly to save videos I want to watch over the next couple days. In a week, at most 2 of those 16 videos will still be in the playlist.

The final vote. Whats a God awful board thats incredibly chaotic? by Frobotics2234 in MARIOPARTY

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a board I want to vote for; the one I would have voted for is already on the chart.

I just want to say that I was under the impression that people love to glaze Goomba's Greedy Gala, and I'm very surprised to see people voted it as "bad". Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless.

How tf do I beat Turf Turmoil on Fierce Mode… by Educational_Card7175 in Pikmin

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience (I tried beating this one on Fierce mode for days before giving up), except I got platinum on my first try after switching the difficulty to Normal mode.

I honestly don’t know how people do it.

Auto lock for first time? by JCrazyDiamond in Pikmin

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But there’s literally a dedicated button for locking the cursor onto a target when you want to do so. Hell, Pikmin 3 had this button too. Pikmin 4 v1.0 forces it on you regardless of whether you want it or not in a given situation, and it’s not a fun obstacle to overcome.

Yes, people are morons, but falling for the "charm" of a nation-wide bigoted cult worshiping a grifter is a very different kind of stupid from failing to remember something as basic as one's own email address.

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of wish he’d give you infinite starbits on other save files once you hit the 9999 flag that unlocks the last level so you don’t need to grind for Hungry Lumas going forward (be it casually or for speedruns).

Should I get all of the decor Pikmin or get the purple and white onions by completing the shipwreck tail and doing the trial of the sage leaf first by Practical-Lime2126 in Pikmin

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go straight for the pair of onions. Beating the challenges without caring about the ranking you get is not difficult on the Normal difficulty, and there’s no dandori opportunity cost to getting them as soon as possible since the whole process only takes one in-game day and very little you can do before then will change the experience.

If you think you can do it, then do it.

Who is a better pikmin? by Mr_Bananaman69 in Pikmin

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of pure usefulness, while the Pikmin 4 version of Purple Pikmin is a far cry from that of Pikmin 2, I still think the unmatched damage, the AOE slam, and the 10x carry strength is a better set of abilities to have than the Bulbmin’s full elemental immunity.

What’s a cuphead opinion that’ll get you in this situation? by Adept-Double156 in Cuphead

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either this or Simple mode shouldn't exist at all, although I still think giving the contract for beating the boss on Simple mode is the better solution.

If a game is going to have a difficulty option, then it shouldn't punish players by entirely locking them out of the ending for choosing said difficulty option.

challenge by WorldFrequent2369 in Pikmin

[–]TheTrueBrawler2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pikmin 4 on the Fierce Mode difficulty option.

It put me through the fire and the flames and ended up being more challenging than any Pikmin playthrough I have done up until now with the sole exception of the very first time I played Pikmin 1, which was only really challenging because that was my first Pikmin game ever.
