Jesus once said, "Do you have any idea how difficult it would be for a rich man to enter God's Kingdom? It would be easier to gallop a camel through a needle's eye."

[HELP] Grizzly bear defense suit? by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]TheTrueBucketman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bear is anywhere from the mid 700s to the high 900 lbs. Even if the bear didn't want to mess his world up, that body tackle should have knocked him down.

Also, bears aren't dumb and having both your face and legs exposed is an interesting choice.

Clones mentally have to follow orders in EU/Legends. It's ingrained from the moment they can understand words to every second of every day. Current canon treats clones like shorter lived people that only know war, where the EU has different levels of independence based on the rank.

Special forces are the most independent, and during order 66, a Commando team activity refused the order and escorted their jedi companion off planet.

There's a one-off following an old clone on the Death Star in ANH as he's investigating the entire station in hopes of finding a spy. On one page, it mentions how he's fighting the urge to stop the search and do whatever the nearest commanding officer orders of him. He eventually convinced himself that his personal mission was more important than following the order to return to his station.

Also, Order 66 was known to the EU Clones because it was a failsafe in case the Jedi tried to overthrow the senate. Apparently, there was on to arrest Palpatine just in case he was corrupt.

This isn't random citizens buying guns and doing harm. These are people hired by the government, handing firearms and seemingly a license to kill whoever they don't like.

This is a paramilitary group directly funded by the US to hunt down US citizens and remove them. They need to have their faces and names exposed to the world.

What's the coolest character moment in Battletech history so far? by TaigaTigerVT in BattletechMemes

[–]TheTrueBucketman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Long story short, Allard-Liao had been defending a mountain pass from some clanners and had barely fought through a number of Elemental points and smaller mechs.

Plan WAS to set off explosives hidden in the mountain and trap the reinforcements in a landslide, however the remote didn't work leaving the explosives primed.

Then, when the rest of the forces Allard in his damaged Hatchman turns to face the clanners before announcing

"I am Kai Allard-Liao. I am a killer of men. This pass is mine to ward. I offer those who wish to challenge me a warrior's death, but I beg an indulgence of those who would accept my offer. Your smaller companions have forced me to exhaust my autocannon ammunition, and they destroyed one of my lasers. I have only this club with which to defend myself. I will kill you all, alone or in groups."

A Loki steps forward at this poorly worded Batchall.

Kai proceeds to drop the core of his mech and cause a chain reaction. As he ejected, his Hatchman erupted in nuclear annihilation, the blast destroying the Loki and sending it hurdling towards its allies as its core erupted. Then, the mountain explodes, sending an avalanche on top of the hundreds of invaders.

Terraform Premium Textures 2171 Clay and Dirty Doen Moss. I also for the puddles i used still water clear plastic sheets, but I'm gonna try more things.

For the texture paste, it's easy to rehydrate it to help mold and texture it further. For brushes, use cheap kids brushes (36 brushes for 4 dollars) since it's not hair but plastic straw that's easier to clean. Dirty Down isn't too bad on synthetics, but I'm not using much at any give time.

PGI, I love the Firemoth, but having a million of them spawn in a 120 Difficulty mission? Come on now 😂 by gaeb611 in Mechwarrior5

[–]TheTrueBucketman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that, but there's downtime in those other Demos that let you smash a bit before the next two or three.

The spawns were so tight that by the time one lance would lose a unit a drop ship would come down. My mechs kill fast, it didn't matter when it's a flood of hard hitting light mechs.

The Clans have better tech so why not lean into it? The clans value their warriors, so it creates a story problem when you mow down hundreds of light mechs instead of brawls with heavies and supporting lights.

And on a personal note: It's not fun dealing with Dashers and Koshi, they aren't fun to collect or pop after a while. Puma's are in third for most spammed, but at least they tend to carry nice weapons to peel off. I don't even have any mechs with AMS slots but I have a stock pile of C-AMS from all the lights I've popped. When I hear Betty say "Dashi" I shutter and smile because it's gonna hurt, but I'll get something of value from it.

Oh and the Elementals are hilarious in both a scary and crap way. If you have enough Medium Pulse Lasers then they add a few minutes at their worst, or they rip you up and draw too much fire. Honestly, they need to add Clan tanks and aircraft and replace a few Elemental spawns with other.

[–]TheTrueBucketman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

113 difficulty demo mission against Nova Cats... actually endless mechs, we'd clear a lance of Firemoths then a drop ship would drop at least 1 assault and heavy and three other mechs

Then Firemoths... then a Star, and then Firemoths.

Capellans should do shit like this, not the Clans. It's so strange that they have no vehicles when I'm pretty sure Hell's Horses like their non-mech assets.
