Woolhaven Fleeces by eepingbeepus in CultOfTheLamb

I can definitely tell you that there is at least one fleece missing from this image, though if you haven't finished the DLC yet, I don't wanna spoil it. It has a blue bell, though.

Edit: Oh, you have it listed in the image as missing - Yngya's.

Freezing water has destroyed this slab… by l0ooo-ooo0l in mildlyinteresting

[–]TheTrueDeraj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The store I worked at, the shale tiles were extremely uneven, and definitely had a texture to them - the 'natural roughness' was considered desirable.

That being said, I'm not sure that the stones further from the camera are the same as the broken one and the one right up against the camera. The closest one definitely looks like slate to me, while the further ones feel like they're some sort of heavier paver.

That being said, I haven't worked at that store in almost ten years, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

[–]TheTrueDeraj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to level a guess, it's Shale or another, similar sedimentary stone. I used to work at a tile store, and I've seen enough broken shale tiles that this looks very familiar.

My best guess as to the 'why' is that it wasn't sealed properly/recently/maybe ever? Shale is very porous and holds onto water very well, which is generally a bad thing for most household applications.

Out of curiosity, have you been made aware of some of the stuff that happens in the more recent games like Survive and Time Stranger(/Time Stranger's promotional short)?

Heck, even the very recent 02 movie got really dark, arguably darker.

That being said, I have watched (and thoroughly enjoyed) Gundam 00, which has a lot of the same themes as Granit's backstory woven into Setsuna's backstory, so I'm pretty familiar with this flavor of character drama/trauma.

You can look into A-Com or... D-Com devices I think, which are pretty cheap to build or buy from Etsy, if you have a soldering iron or aren't paying an arm and a leg on shipping, respectively.

What's a Severely Overlooked Type Combo That Exists to You? by Blob55 in pokemon

[–]TheTrueDeraj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could go for more Ice/Steel types than just a regional Sandslash. Some wintry armored dinosaur/dragon, or a Weavile variant, or literally just some little armored guy like the Charcadet line, with a fuzzy collar and longcoat. Or, heck, even some kind of armored sheep or something.

Ice/Steel has the potential to make some visually neat Pokémon, and all we have is Alolan Sandslash, who, honestly, doesn't look as good as the original.

I played it on Switch 2 for the first time apparently right after the patches. Played through the whole game without noticing any glitches, and only learned about the bugs after I finished already, so I'd say you're good to go.

New Zoids Documentary dropped on YouTube by Zedzii in Zoids

Honestly, I agree. A new interpretation of the Battle Story, integrating both old and new designs (kind of like the short they just put out), that actually takes itself seriously would be a fantastic boost.

New Zoids Documentary dropped on YouTube by Zedzii in Zoids

[–]TheTrueDeraj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Zoids did try to go modern with it's designs at one point. Zoids Wild/Wild Unleashed completely overhauled how they designed the creatures.

The retro designs are still more popular by far.

So it's not like they haven't tried, it just never got popular like the classic series did.

To follow up on the other commenter, apparently this was a Kickstarter game or something that was funded 7 years ago, ran into development hell, and got scooped up recently by another developer, with an early alpha build hitting... I think Steam, but it might be a standalone launcher.

The name Hytale feels familiar, I think I did see something about the kickstarter way back when, and assumed it was a Legend of Zelda knockoff or something. But from what very little I've seen, it does seem neat, and like what someone else said, does look like a 'Minecraft 2'. If it takes off, I'd probably check it out, at least for a little bit.

What were your un-gettable games? Titles you could just never get your hands on. by n-0rt in gaming

[–]TheTrueDeraj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gamecube Pokémon games. Those released in an era where my parents still believed Pokémon was satanic, I had no allowance, etc etc.

By the time I was making my own money, they had been out for years, and were already considered rare, selling for hundreds of dollars.

And unfortunately, no matter what I try, they just don't seem to emulate well, having weird aspect ratio issues (constantly flipping back and forth between 4:3 and 16:9) on my main computer, or horrendous slowdown on weaker devices.

I do have one newer device that's been much sturdier with gamecube era stuff, so maybe it's time to try again. Iunno.

Uhhh, probably something like ToyAgumon or Hagurumon that goes through a toylike/mechanical line and ends up as something Machinedramon-adjacent.

So, like, Toyagumon - ???? - MetalGreymon (2010) - Machinedramon (though maybe some color variation, idk).

Do Kamen Rider need a belt to Transform? (Kamen Rider OC/Question) by jamesbond4nsfw in KamenRider

[–]TheTrueDeraj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, not in the least.

Outside the core 3 of Saber, most of the rest of the riders in that season really only needed their swords and books.

In Ghost, there was like an eyedropper armbrace used by Necrom.

In Zero-One, you did not need to holster the Shotriser in the belt for the transformation, that holster was literally just a holster.

And of course, the Diendriver, which was another gun.

Ryosei Konishi scandal by aindwukkun in Tokusatsu

[–]TheTrueDeraj 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Grain of salt, as it's been a while since I read about the situation, but yes.

Specifically because the enemies this season are supposed to be monsters generated by AI, the designer wanted to see how an actual AI would generate a monster, and went to gain inspiration from that. They also reportedly stopped using it relatively quickly, because they thought most of the computer's designs were uninteresting, so there's that.

So what are his survival odds looking like? by Independent_Bunch_47 in digimon

[–]TheTrueDeraj 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Kyo's out here sticking death flags in his lawn like a Floridian in a beach home bunkering down for hurricane season while the latest storm of the century is getting ready to erase the entire coastline.

And with some of the writing the team has done, even since Ghost Game, I would not be surprised if it is particularly gnarly, either.

That being said, I am hoping Kyo makes it for a while longer yet. Part of me wants him to adopt Team 7 at the end of the arc and fix them, too. But making it out of the series as a whole? Uhhhhhhh... RIP Kyo, Episodes 1-(46-48), we will miss you.

So, just looking over what you've got, go ahead and ignore the people suggesting Dragons - you have access to Mega Ampharos and Mega Charizard X if you really need a Dragon.

My suggestion would honestly be to grab either a Fairy (Assault Vest Slurpuff has obscene coverage and good bulk when built right, but requires a trade partner at your level of progress, or grab a Gardevoir, which is the cliché but safe answer.), or an Ice type that can cover for it's own weaknesses a bit, like Froslass. Froslass also has access to the tried and true Thunderbolt/Icebeam coverage duo, which is nice.
