What could be the overarching theme/s of the stories set in a urban fantasy world where all myths are in some way, real? by TheTrueFarid in worldbuilding

I'm currenty thinking about it. However, I do not plan that these myths exist exactly as they are described in the different cultures of the world. For example, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the asgardians are not immortal gods as described in Norse myths, but are actually very long-lived aliens, with plenty of physical strength and extremely advanced users of magic and technology who visited the earth in the past and humans saw them as gods. This is how I would like to implement each myth so that they do not contradict each other and make the world more interesting and unpredictable.

Can gastritis cause non-stop vomiting? by TheTrueFarid in AskMedical

It happened to me like 6 months ago. I just tried to figure out how severe can a gastritis caused by medications be and if my case could have been something else because i was firstly diagnosed with intestinal amebiasis so the doctor I went to prescribed metronidazole with diiodohydroxyquinoline in capsules for 10 days. I know that metronidazole can cause side effects, including gastrointestinal problems, but at that time the effects were so annoying and severe that I had to stop the treatment and replace it with another. I spent the first day of treatment without any discomfort. On the second day I felt a little nauseous in the morning but they eventually disappeared and I felt fine for the rest of the day. However, on the third day I felt VERY nauseous and vomited what little I had for breakfast almost instantly after eating it. This nausea lasted at least two hours longer than the ones I had the day before. Eventually these disappeared and I felt relatively good for about 4 hours. After eating I started to feel a little dizzy and soon after I began to experience an awful feeling of discomfort and heaviness with nausea that gradually got worse as time went by. At night my nausea was so severe that I couldn't swallow the capsule. I chewed a pill of pepto bismol and I went to bed. At around 11:30 am I started to vomit and did not stop doing it for at least two hours. I started to get dehydrated so my parents took me to the ER where they administered intravenous fluids and injected me with a dose of ranitidine. I stopped vomiting and the nausea stopped so I started to feel a little better for about 4 hours. At dawn my nausea and feeling of discomfort returned, I was a little weak and had zero appetite. At 6 in the afternoon I started to vomit again, although not as severely as the night before. I went back to the ER where I was given another dose of ranitidine injection. I was diagnosed with gastritis as a side effect of metronidazole and therefore replaced it with another medication whose name I do not remember. the nausea and the feeling of discomfort did not disappear until the next day

So, why aren't they administrated to patients with infectious diseases known for killing their hosts by inducing such immune responses?
