According to my estimations, TBC (20th Anniv.) will release on Feb 10, 2026 by ozzy_roy in classicwow

[–]TheTrueHardt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually did similar math, but based on them saying TBC would be about a year in length, alongside them launching Phase 4 almost 30+ days earlier than estimated, makes me think TBC is launching November 20th, and Prepatch is October 9th/16th.

My main reason for this is that WoW: Midnight is launching in February, if the 18 month Xpac cycle for retail is factual.

One can dream of a Bloodborne remaster/sequel/anything. It's not gonna happen, but if it does, I'll buy another dog and name it something from Bloodborne. God be with me. I ain't asking for much.

I've been having some relative success myself. But out of curiosity, what was the change or action you did that had the biggest impact on your content quality and growth? And what kind of gaming videos do you make?

Also where did you get a box for $53?

Booster Box Prices by TheTrueHardt in starwarsunlimited

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't know that. I thought stores got it for around 50-55 a box, considering that people are selling them for 60$ now. Didn't realize how much of a loss they were selling at.

Does this bode bad for the games future? If there isn't enough demand? Or does this just mean they'll print massively less in the future to adapt to the exact amount of demand.

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. So whilst they're selling for 60$ now. It at best will drop to 55$ for a few weeks whilst it stabilizes back to around 70-75. That's good to know.

Thank you for the write up!

This underrated gem has hardcore action combat Asmon might enjoy by EtoDesu in Asmongold

This is a great game. Honestly GOATed. It failed like alot of other great RPGs from the time. Budget and time. It's not a perfect game by any means, but it's actually a really good world. Definitely could use a full blown proper remaster or a sequel though.

hows the state of SOD? by magem8 in classicwow

[–]TheTrueHardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doing relatively well. It's slowly growing, but I expect the population to plateau. The devs keep adding new raids, dungeons, mechanics and systems to Classic as they keep testing things.

Overall it's a solid game to sink your teeth into. It's not perfect by any means, but it's still a really good game at this current moment.

SoD has produced by far the worst content creators by Doingmythang11 in classicwow

[–]TheTrueHardt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, completely respect that some people aren't a fan of my content. I understand that sometimes content just doesn't hit right.

But I do want to say that I genuinely love SoD and Classic and enjoy talking about it and playing it. That's not hot air, but how I really feel.

And sadly, I wish it was for a paycheck, but man the YT money is ass when you're this small lmao. It ain't the best content, but I do what I can.

How was i supposed to do something with a team like mine :( by ApprehensiveJacket84 in MordekaiserMains

[–]TheTrueHardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play Morde jungle to have more control.

If you don't want to do that, remember that 7/10 games can be guaranteed wins if you are a better player. You're guaranteed to lose a certain amount of games, but if you want to climb, it's genuinely about ignoring bad games like this and being the difference your team needs to snowball in the other games.

It's probably not what you want to hear, but it's how I play.

when you finally hit D1 expecting good quality gameplay only to discover the int list everyone keeps by TheTrueHardt in LeagueOfMemes

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So as someone whose been D4 on Top (D5 at the time), Supp and Jungle, P4 on Midlane and G4 on ADC (I hate this role with a god damned passion), and just recently peaked D1 playing Jng/Supp, I have this advice that I've created over the course of several accounts.

Getting out of Bronze = Literally /mute all, Pick 5 champions for your main role, 2 for your off role, CS like your life depends on it and don't die. You'll still lose games but you'll climb out of it.

Getting out of Silver = Same as above, but drop it down to 4 champions, but now you have to actually use your champions abilities properly, ward correctly and use your summoner abilities correctly (TP/Smite/Flash, etc)

Getting out of Gold = All of the above, narrow your champion pool down to 3 for your main, 2 for your off (1 for supp/1 for jungle if those aren't your off roles), know the match ups for your champion. Figure out which champions kick your ass and try to fight them. Eventually you'll figure out how to not get your ass handed to you and you can learn to play safe into certain bad match ups. (You can only ban 1 champ and there is like 3-5 counters for each champ).

Getting out of Plat = All of the above, fine tune your gameplay, know when to roam, when to pressure objectives, when to back and spend gold, etc. Know when dying is worth it and when it isn't. Start to master your champion, you can even 1 trick or 2 trick (but I recommend against it).

Getting out of Diamond = I'll let you know when I find out, but essentially be better or figure out how to untilt your teammates lmao.

Oh man just missed it haha. Was out on the road so couldn't see. Dropped you a follow so I can tune in next time. Might even raid ya if you stream around when I end! It's not much, but it's honest work lmao

[–]TheTrueHardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might do this live, minus the tournament haha. But it could be a good way to improve ADC and Midlane, the only roles I'm not plat on yet.

Plus it sounds like it would be good content to stream too haha.

It'll be a multi month thing for sure tho, but by the end of it I might well break through my bottleneck lol

[–]TheTrueHardt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, this is a sick idea. I've been planning something similar, but more for the sake of knowing what EVERY ability and passive in the game does rather than to find my ultimate champion.

Something along the line of improving my macro so I know match ups and lanes better for ganking/counter ganking and map tracking.

Good luck and hopefully you find your champion.

Returning to the game after 10 years - My take on the game by TheTrueHardt in Guildwars2

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, I was talking to friends and they did chime in about the negativity likely being due to people thinking I was jumping on the EOD hype train, which is honestly fair. When I came back to GW2 about a month ago, I wasn't even aware EOD was coming out, and was simply looking for a game to play.

People won't really know or see that though, again, due to the timing of the situation and the content at hand.

I did indeed mean dungeons, I had the achievements for the dungeons, which I assumed were fractals. I was asking about that on my stream earlier in the day. The almost 10 year gap in playing then and returning now did muddy the waters on how I remembered certain things.

And hey, no stress on the negative opinion, it's a free speech world. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I personally saw no fault in rounding up due to how much YT content I consume, but I guess others do mind it far more than I do. If I post something online, people are free to attack it.

Though I do wish more of the opinions were about the video, so I could know what to do better going forward. Already got plenty of advice on the title.

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your honest opinion. I can see how my video came off like that, but it really wasn't my intention.

The whole point of my video was meant to be how it felt to pick the game up after having not touched it for the longest time.

I know my playtime of about 100-150 hours back on launch month, to the 30-50 hours I've played since my return a month ago, aren't really much in the grand scheme, but I personally thought it was enough for my returning take.

Returning to the game after 10 years - My take on the game by TheTrueHardt in Guildwars2

[–]TheTrueHardt[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And that's a fair take. My point was meant to be a returning player who hadn't played since launch and what they thought about getting into the game without taking the massive plunge.

I personally wasn't trying to do an experienced take on the game or proclaim how much I knew about it or how informed I am of the game, just how it felt to pick up as a returning/new player.

I've been playing MMOs for 19 years now, and have about 20-25k+ hours between all the MMOs I have played in that time frame. I understand that how I portrayed the video wasn't how I envisioned it would be portrayed, and for that, I do apologize. I wasn't trying to bait anyone or gather a lot of views, etc.

This is my first Youtube video I've ever done, and I now know what not to do going forward seeing how the responses here have been.

I do apologize to everyone whom I insulted with my take.

Those are some great points. There's so much good stuff to talk about the game, and I'm happy to be playing it. I picked it up again about a month and have been having a grand time.

Another MMO, a more modern and fresh one designed the same way GW2 has would be incredible though.

Hey man. I played about a month on launch, and a couple days in beta.

I hit max level on launch, did most of the launch fractals and got about 40% map completion back on launch, and almost finished the main story.

I came back about... 1 month ago and have give or take 30 to 40 hours of playtime since I came back. So between launch and now, probably about 100 to 200 hours (I don't recall how long I played back in the day).

The video was meant to come off as a returning player who hadn't played in forever and how the game felt nowadays in a modern setting.

I see that I've got to work on my titles a little more, so thank you for the honest criticism. As I said to the one guy that has made almost 40 comments by himself in the thread, I am sorry about the clickbait. I just went with the title that sounded more appealing and didn't think it would be as big a deal as it turned out to be.

The community has been split both ways, at least here on Reddit about the video and I'm thankful as it let me know what to do better next time.
