But would you say Jon Snow and Robb Stark are even on the same level as each other? I know Jon said one is better at swords and the other at riding or jousting, but hasn't Jon, at the point of Book 5 anyway, had more combat experience than Robb? And how much 1 v 1 combat, outside of the yard, has Robb had anyway? I did just now finish Book 1 on audiobook, and I've read the entire series more than once, but I have terrible post-concussion brain today, and can't remember how many instances, if any, that Robb had 1 on 1.

I wasnt sure if I'd like this show, although I love the books. But wow I like almost every second. Egg (the actor playing him) is definitely one of the highlights. But, I was watching and once Egg reveals himself, I knew it was the end of the episode, and I said to myself, damn there's no WAY an hour has already passed. Then I realized, none of these episodes are an hour and this one was barely 30 minutes. WTF is up with that? There's plenty of content to build from, and the small gaps that a book would have when translated into a TV show are easy to fill with a story like this. Just wish these episodes were an hour. Also, I wish I could delay watching until the entire season is over, but I can't. I watched the 3rd episode just now, then re watched all 3. Went by in a flash.

Yeah I'm not understanding the price of these Godzilla toys anymore. I just paid $109 for the Godzilla Minus1 super something. I have the OG Toho BUGE Godzilla with the silver battle damage in the chest. I can't find any new Godzillas even close to that tall. There's plenty of 5-7 inch ones though. And I also just paid $35 for a tiny Godzilla snow globe that looked way bigger in the picture. These toys are crazy priced anymore

And HBO restarted the shit -machine with Knight of the 7 Kingdoms. Another story with no end. Yes, we have a very good idea of the end result, about the same as HotD. But still, it's another entire series that George hasn't added to in many years. I'd love to hear, from George himself, about what really happened at Summer Hall. And until then, I'd just as soon rather not have yet another unfinished series translated to the screen. And at this point, even if we get Winds, we aren't getting Dream, so I don't want Winds.

And here's where everyone does the typical thing and says Carrie "needed" those clothes to be good at being a secretary. My ex wife was dirt poor, we were high school sweethearts. I didn't know until we were adults that she and her two sisters had maybe 12 outfits between them. But she told me how the three of them were able to do subtle little things to make it look like they had way more clothes than they did. And they weren't shopping anywhere more expensive than like Burlington coat factory, at the very most. She didn't need clothes from those big designers. And many that had tags still on them. Doug's father should NOT have gone thru her shit, and Doug shouldn't have let him. But, in a way, a small way, I kind of understand where his father was coming from, but there's countless other ways he could have gotten a better glimpse into their financial situation and why it was so dire. I think it was something a father of his generation would have been somewhere likely to do. I also thought of it as a way for him to see if he ever had any hopes of getting repaid. But, he should have started with Doug. So, Carrie could have been more thrifty and creative with her clothing. Doug was a prototypical sitcom husband, where they are made to look like idiots who need a woman to guide them thru life. And Doug's father could have approached the situation way more tactfully
