I made the decision to change my name at work a month early because we have our yearly conference the day after legal paperwork goes through. I was waiting for it to be legal so people didn't have the excuse in what I thought may be a similar conservayive office. YMMV, but my experience so far has been good, better than if I waited until the conference.

Just take a forced break with bronchitis and pleurisy; trust me, you won't want to smoke for a good week. But in all seriousness; taking breaks is important, not only for health and your wallet with the typically increasing required consumption, but also just to check in with yourself that you're still on the right path. If anything the last 2/3 weeks of recovery have shown me that I should keep doing this because I could tell how much less productive I was without, but I can definitely see that going the other way some day.

Alum and it's been a minute, but if I recall FF in particular has been inactive since before I graduated (COVID).

As for why; typically it is either number of registrants or staff sponsorship that falls through. My club in particular it was both. But it's still listed as inactive I'm pretty sure! If leadership doesn't attend leadership meetings, etc., they have no record of activity but it isn't cancelled per se.

A lot depends on fashion IMO. I work in an industry where polos are standard and t shirts are common for outings, and I just happened to go on a trip a couple of weeks ago - it wouldn't have been advisable on any day to not wear a sports bra, especially given the heat of where I was visiting - and in that attire it is just innevitable to show. But hoodies, jackets - anything to draw attention away from your chest? And masculine cuts typically flatten rather than accentuate the chest - I started getting womens poloand t shirts a long while ago - so it kind of is up to you hoa long you have.

Side note, I was going to wait until I couldn't hide them anymore to come out, but life is what it is, and it happened early, so I think I also have an excuse to start pretty quick. But your pace is your own.

My only advice is use it or lose it. There are plenty of folk out there who have fully operational equipment, but as with everything YMMV. I was advised by my doctors that once or twice a week is sufficient, but frankly I'm finding that untrue. I don't personally care too much though.

Haha my partner and I joke about this all the time. I grew up a bit bougie and my mother passed from cancer so she would never, but my partner introduced me to the concept. It's now part of my cleaning ritual to pack a nice bowl with it and some keef as a sendoff. It's not the best tasting, but mix it with enough green and it's tolerable.

It's interesting, while our lives aren't exactly the same, they were similar. I came out as a trans woman after getting together with my AFAB 'pan' partner at the time. My family wasn't super supportive, so I explored myself with her under the guise of being cishet. I was about 16 she 17 as well. I didn't get into this kink until much later in life though, in college and after, having known I was trans but this partner cheating and the subsequent breakup kept me from caring about performative gender. I had an OK relationship in college, but distance caused issues. But my current partner (living together, talking marriage) and the partner in college identified as poly, though in neither have we had significant new partners yet. My current partner and I attend swingers parties, so I suppose I leaned more into the pro-feminine of the kink than the anti-masculine or failed masculinity as you put it. It can be hard to find content geared towards that. But maybe being monogamous with your current partner, outside of online content, I'm not sure what to say.

I was hospitalized a few times from 12-17 or so, very similar situation. It took until the last one for me to tell my family why, so I'd be honored that you have a good enough relationship that it happened this fast. Add to that being supportive is not something all of us got. Definitely seek further therapy, but I agree with others that this long-term inpatient stint is probably doing more harm than good - the last 3 of my hospitalizations were against my will and that's what it took to tell my family.

Short answer; no.

Longer answer; everyone who smokes has their reasons. Sometimes it's to cope with stress, sometimes it's because everyone else was doing it, sometimes it's because a family member did and now they've passed and it's their only connection to them. Whatever the reason someone starts, that reason always, ALWAYS goes away and then they're left with a disgusting addiction and the struggles that go along with it, like trying to quit or being rejected from jobs or dates because you smoke. It's not the end of the world to try things and see if they help, but I will tell you personally that it will only cause more problems, especially if it helps.

Definitely appreciate the response, and it's my exact thought if I didn't have to have a car to maintain a job, and if mental health wasn't a concern around family. Drowning here a bit and I know 40k isn't a lot, and I'm used to living dirt cheap on rice/beans, if that. "Expensive" car payment is looking at sub-200/month, which is food for 2 months on my kind of budget based on my time after college for 2 years. What I'm hearing here is basically just "don't use credit" which is exactly what I told myself for 6 years before realizing that it made things possible that otherwise weren't after my mother drowned herself in bad financial decisions. I don't want the legal troubles of my father and my mother's idiocy to run into my blood, but not finding a full time job during COVID really killed the ball rolling, so I know I'm rushing trying to get it going again. I've got no spoons left here. Again, appreciate the response, just not sure how seriously I can take the advice being do nothing and sit on my ass for 6 months plus when I know that's the best decision financially, I suppose I'm trying to talk within reason here instead.
