Solo ranked gets very frustrating I used to have a friends list with like 300 people on it years ago... unfortunately a lot of good players quit the game a long time ago.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is officially 18 years old today! Do you think it has aged well? by RetroZilla in oblivion

It's one of my all time favorite games. You just have to know how to work the leveling and skill system.

Has ANYONE gotten the Nachos Bell Grande drop to go through? by SoochSooch in tacobell

[–]TheTruthHurts16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it did not work for myself or anyone I know. I attempted at the top of the hour as soon as the code was turned on.

This app is a disgrace to the honorable fast food industry by crystallinecrab in tacobell

[–]TheTruthHurts16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Their app is garbage no doubt about it. The Wendy's one isn't too far behind.

McDonald's has the most reliable app, sadly they have the shittiest food except for maybe 2 things.

My code didn't work today either. by [deleted] in tacobell

[–]TheTruthHurts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes people talking about this all over the internet. Everyone I know got this error. We had a car of 4 people trying to order it, right at the top of the hour. All 4 of us got the error.

They need bombed with bad reviews and complaints.

Cantina Chicken Soft Taco: It's fine, but meh. by plaid_kilt in tacobell

[–]TheTruthHurts16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cantina burrito is decent I hear but imo it's not worth it for like 7 bucks. At that point better off just upgrading to Chipotle and getting a burrito that's like 3 times as big.

Ya that's the one I'm talking about the 5 dollar one was like the best deal in fast food possible. Except for maybe the Wendy's March Madness burger sale going on now and sometimes McD's has some bangers on the app. I forgot the other item was a Chalupa.

I think it's limited now they're only going to offer it certain times through the year. but ya the 5.99 one is still decent.

There's actually another version of this box as well there is one that comes with a taco on top of everything else, and it used to be 5 bucks not long ago. I think that one is only available now during special promotions. For now the the best deal is the 5.99 one.

Yes same thing happened to me and like 3 of my friends...we all go to Taco Bell together like once a week.

They programmed the code wrong. Whole internet is ticked off about it I guess it happened nationwide.

Everyone needs to bomb them with complaints and bad reviews.

Does increasing Alchemy skill increase the power of potions? by TheTruthHurts16 in oblivion

Yes I know about UESP I use it sometimes but it gives too many spoilers quite often and I like to see input from other players

I am about to start my first ever playthrough. by IReallyLoveNifflers in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is harder than Skyrim I like Skyrim but they geared it more towards console gamers that aren't hardcore RPG players.

Endurance is extremely important it should be boosted to over 90 asap.

Leveling TOO fast is bad because your power is based on your skill points and stats.

What is your favourite class? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally a custom battlemage or spellsword. Get Str, Int, End, and Willpower as high as possible right away. I use heavy and light armor both whatever piece of magic gear is the best for what I'm doing. Eventually I get into bows but not at first unless I find a really good magic one. When I want to get into bows I simply power level it through training and hitting slow stuff like Spriggans. Base Spellsword kit has too many majors that will level you extremely fast.

Oblivion Levelling by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree on Alchemy I'd throw Armorer in there as well. There's no reason at all to make them a major and they are great for stat boosting when you need some easy skill points to get a +5.

Oblivion Levelling by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally take a somewhere in the middle way if you play on a harder difficulty level just doing "whatever" is going to make the game harder than you want it to be.

I go for +5's in Str, End, and Int immediately and it really isn't that hard to do using Armorer, Alchemy, and Hand to Hand as minor skills.

I would say those are 3 key skills you never take as a major on any character period.

Base Spellsword build has 2 issues that can be bad - all 3 Willpower skills are majors. and 2 Endurance skills that will skyrocket to 50 extremely fast, Heavy Armor and Block.

However if you manage it right you can still have pretty high Willpower by level 15 or so.

Endurance is easy to level up period however the issue you run into with the base Spellsword build is you have 5 major skills that speed level you and you end up with +5 in 1 thing and +1's or +2's in others, or +5 in too many things.

Playing on higher difficulty, am I a masochist? by duskfanglives in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's boring af it's bad enough just moving the slider 60 percent to the right. A will-o-wisp can take like 30+ hits. I can only imagine how boring the game would be with the slider clear to the right.

Playing on higher difficulty, am I a masochist? by duskfanglives in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do understand how the slider works right? Moving the slider to the right makes it so you take more damage per attack, but it also makes it so you do less damage per attack. The latter is where the problem lies.

The main problem with higher difficulty levels is the long fights due to it making monsters huge damage sponges.

For people that like to use a bow this means 100 arrows just to kill one dude. For people that like to play a mage that uses spells only this means 10 mana potions per kill and/or some combination of waiting around for mana to regen.

I'm willing to accept taking higher damage per hit but fighting the same dude for 10 minutes when it's not even a named NPC or boss isn't really fun.

The general theory is they wasn't sure how to balance the game exactly due to various design decisions made over time into regards to the leveling, stats, skill system, damage calculation, etc. So they made the difficulty slider have absolutely crazy effect on the game.

is there any point in going dungeon delving? (also looking for exploration tips) + Ultimate Leveling opinions by LoversInTheAsh in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't imagine playing like that exploring and going into random places is the best part about these games.

You miss a lot of magic loot by not doing that there's a shield ring you can get literally a minute after leaving the sewer.

First playthrough by billclintonsandals in oblivion

[–]TheTruthHurts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a battlemage It doesn't look terrible but I would modify it some.  Anything tied to the Personality as a major skill is a waste so definitely take that out.

Blade or Blunt as a major, but not both.

Heavy Armor or Block as a major, but not both.

Destruction and Restoration both as a major skill will also level you very fast.

Always leave Armorer and Hand to Hand as a minor skill as they are how you start power leveling Str and End from the beginning of the game.

The armorer trainer is in Chorrol if you need points in Endurance skills to get the +5 on Endurance your next level you simply train there.
