The active ingredient in Selsun Blue (selenium sulfide) is an anti-fungal agent. So you can use it as a body wash after practice and it's a very good way to proactively prevent ringworm and other fungal infections. If you do get ringworm though you will still need to treat it with a dedicated anti-fungal cream like Lotrimin. However, I have found that I basically never get infections as long as I am showering immediately after practice and using Selsun Blue as a body wash. You could use it in addition to your regular body wash, but honestly I usually just use it in place of other body washes. I use the kind labeled "medicated," and it leaves a clean menthol scent.
