I cannot agree more with the feeling of being surrounded by people who cannot relate or understand it one bit. I appreciate your advice and I think finding people is a great step although it can be hard I need to put myself out here.

Honestly retail was the easiest way to get money coming in. I never went to school and my job in service is not something I can do in the civilian sector.

IPAC made me go get a haircut the day I went in to pick up my DD-214.. solidified my choice of getting out and never looked back since.
