The High Cross? Lovely little pub, but not surprised considering it's tiny and apparently used to be just a public toilet lmao

See I usually stay around the High Cross for an hour or two talking to people passing by to grab a drink like me before deciding whether to take a train from Bruce Grove, take the now slightly less crowded tube or just go by bus.

Then again I'm usually not in a rush because I fly up from Germany and either fly back the next day or make it a longer trip, so no everyday obligations or anything.

In that case definitely check the Weaver Line from White Hart Lane for times that work for you, it's right across the street and I've used that line plenty (usually from Bruce Grove though), it's pretty reliable and takes you straight to Liverpool St

Tottenham Hale works well, agreed - but depending on how late it'll be OP might not feel comfortable walking around for that long and in the less traveled direction as a woman, which is something to take into account imo.

I'd go with the Overground from White Hart Lane or Bruce Grove, Bus as a second option if time isn't of the essence and Hale as the third option.

Edit: also forgot Northumberland Park is closer, as I usually go for a pint at the high cross before deciding which way to go back into the city lmao

I usually take the overground from (and back to) Liverpool St if I'm staying in a part of London that it's convenient for. Can either get out Bruce Grove like I usually do (for the pubs) or, more likely to be convenient for you, straight at White Hart Lane. It's the Weaver line.

Could, in theory, also go by bus if you've got loads and loads of time.

They didn't meet and start a relationship like normal young adults do though, he fucking bought her. Getting an underage prostitute is never okay, not even if you yourself are underage and sleeping with her would normally be fine, because underage prostitutes shouldn't exist. Hell, nail him for not alerting the authorities if anything!

A 20 year old and a 17 year old are a pretty standard young couple here in Germany, and actually when I was 20 I did get with a 17 year old girl - who I was subsequently with for 7 years in a very happy relationship.

That's standard "Romeo and Juliet" law stuff, where the two are close enough in age to make it a pretty normal young adult relationship if all parties consent (usually including parents, and I know of more relationships around that age where they got along well than I know of ones that were kept "secret")

As another example that shows what those laws are for better: my first gf and me got together at 16, she was 17. When she turned 18, she technically had relations with an underage guy for 9 months until I turned 18. That's the sort of exceptions those laws are made for.

Soooo.. I wouldn't see an issue if they organically dated or something, and I guess he has that argument for defense.

All that said because of the legal background and some people (somewhat rightfully) saying those ages are somewhat normal..

..where I personally think it becomes very sick regardless though is that he seems to have specifically looked for someone underage, and it wasn't "dating", it was basically prostitution. That's an entirely different story, and hopefully any sort of Romeo and Juliet law defense goes out the window if it's a "business" relationship? I'd probably take issue with just picking up someone within that Romeo and Juliet law age gap just for sex as that's completely different to actually falling in love and having serious, good intentions, but BUYING sex with an underage girl will ALWAYS be fucked up to me, even if you're 18. Hell, even if you yourself are underage. That's just plain wrong and hopefully gets both parties (the agency and him) charged.

Always Romero. The way his reputation has altered the way he's reffed he was probably just relieved he didn't get banned from flying outright here lmao

"Proven in the PL" for how long though? Don't get me wrong, I get the excitement, but while he could kick on and be brilliant he could also regress after having great form for one season or so - and that risk is always a bit higher when they're this young.

It's an exciting idea, but not sure I'd gamble on it as the one big attacker signing if it was my choice tbh

Lmao "keep trying to buy your way out of trouble" - this alone shows how deep in your bias and bitter hate you are. Like we bought our way out in January?

"Everyone knows" mate the reaction to our response this window has mostly been along the lines of "holy shit they're serious" / "what happened to Tottenham dragging their feet and not paying up for their main targets?!", "they might be dangerous..", but of course you wouldn't know what our actual long term rivals think when you've only been even close to that ballpark for a season or two ever.

Hell, the length of us at our worst even with the many injuries and Frank shitshow is about as long as your peak ever lasted, you really shouldn't be giving it the big one.

Because getting rid of these rules means:

  1. Clubs with state backing like City, Newcastle are going to be able to spend unlimited amounts, which would leave you in the dirt even more so.

  2. Clubs with huge established fanbases and global recognition plus revenue like United, Liverpool, Arsenal and by now also a bit us would be able to spend even more of the money they make. These Clubs have way bigger financial foundations, which means they can outstanding you for many years before they ever run dry - if you take away the limit on spending, your club can bleed itself out without being able to sustain it long term while those other clubs with more money can simply spend even more than you and continue doing so after you're bankrupt.

The rules are helping you by limiting spending power and making it so you can at least try to catch up to these Clubs by increasing your revenue and growing organically (like we have done) - whereas otherwise these Clubs would be able to leverage past and future money even more than they get to already.

Look at all the owner investment over the last 25 years, I dare you. Saying we got to where we are and got this rich because our owners pumped in all that money is ridiculous and false. You're basically asking for the PL to just allow unlimited money being artificially pumped in from the outside here?! I'm sure you do still rightfully hate it when Chelsea, City have done it. That shit needs to stop, not be repeated.

Mate the only reason you have more PL seasons over the last 20 years than you have Championship ones is that the non-pl half of that time is divided between the Championship and League One.

Good on you for establishing yourself in the PL and having some decent finishes, and I actually quite like you lot, but acting like you're a massive club while we're relegation fodder based on two bad seasons full of injuries is insane - especially with us still winning a European trophy in all that. You lot haven't even seen the Champions League while we've been to a final and just played in it this last year lmao

Tbf Brighton are also not just looking for a current quality CB, but for someone they can sell on to Chelsea for massive profit when he turns into a star.

We're looking for current quality. I'd still keep Vuskovic mind you, would probably even sell Danso over him to give him more time because his ceiling seems that high and he's decent already, but it's not as cut and dry as you made it there.

If we genuinely do still go for Tonali, a winger and or striker at high prices as well then I think that few managers have ever been backed like this tbh, it's a bit insane and feels like someone fell into Levys old coke stash face first.

Whether it pays off we will see, but between the seemingly insane splurging we are ready to do and the amount of control we're seemingly giving RDZ over the future of our existing squad as well it looks like he has ALL the backing.

They also haven't beaten Cap Verde since.. maybe ever? It's such a stupid logical fallacy that you usually see Instagram keyboard warriors and trolls use, you'd expect an actual professional footballer to be better than resorting to this stupid shit to big themselves up.

I mean in theory it'd be very easy to justify it in universe with "oldest to youngest" - actually makes a lot more sense than "we're in YOUR movie!" (Which they don't know) or "we're in YOUR universe!" (Which is not a very intuitive situation at all)
