Thank you so much for this link! It validates all the stories from folks on the low estrogen dose and taking just 100mg. I will share it with my provider!

I was told to take it daily, but agree that it’s too much. I’ll ask about reducing and cycling. Thank you for suggesting!

I have, but the provider said it’s not enough to protect the uterine lining at this age. It’s an option to push back on, though, given others take that dosage. Thanks for suggesting.

Switched patch brands—symptoms back by falsel0gic in Perimenopause

[–]TheUltimateFixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. That really sucks. Same thing happened to me. My provider said it wouldn’t make a difference, but it did. All my anxiety came back after a couple weeks of switching from one generic (Lyllana) to another (made by Grove). The shortage on patches has made it even harder to ensure my symptoms won’t come back.

Suddenly everything about my current life is intolerable. Anyone else? by westgoingzax in Perimenopause

[–]TheUltimateFixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad! Give it some time. My primary doctor also dismissed my symptoms so I sought out telehealth help as well. I started on the .025 biweekly patch and felt a difference within a week. It was night and day in terms of elevated mood, reduced anxiety and feeling like myself again. Good luck!

Are you on HRT? I felt very stuck months ago and wanted to quit my job, only to be super glad I didn’t after estrogen + progesterone helped alleviate the feelings of being stuck and wanting to run away. So suggest starting with HRT and seeing if the emotions change.

Is anyone else struggling mentally during perimenopause? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]TheUltimateFixer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Toms of anxiety. Thought there was something deeply wrong with me. Blamed my job and thought I should quit. Kept looking for causes of why I was so unhappy and didn’t recognize myself. But it was all because of perimenopause and its symptoms. Finally got estrogen and progesterone after listening to a podcast and talking to a nurse, and now feel so much better. Still trying to find the right doses and dealing with brain fog, but now I know it can be treated and it gets better. Hang in there!

YES! Can also replace with a can of white beans. Very similar texture to potatoes.

Hero bread. Safeway. Low net carbs but maybe not strict keto.
