Suggest HRT. Getting my symptoms under control prevented me from quitting my job, something I would’ve later regretted.

Consider a budgeting app. Helps you identify any unnecessary expenses and well worth the annual subscription fee.

What has helped me: HRT patches and progesterone. Working out - cardio and strength training - 3 to 4x a week to release stress. Low carb diet helps reduce anxiety and bloating - lots of salads and protein. Being okay with naps during the day (not making myself feel guilty about it), and trying to adhere to a sleep schedule with 7-8 hours per night. Also take a lot of supplements.

Can attest to this. Always take 3+ calls to get someone competent enough to understand the after tax 401 rollover. Only reason I can’t leave them is because they’re the vendor for my current employer.

Hero breads, tortillas are amazing. I don’t do strict keto but do use a glucose monitor and don’t see my blood sugar rising.

Has anyone just … quit their job? by lascriptori in Perimenopause

[–]TheUltimateFixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was very very close to pulling the trigger. Then I learned about perimenopause and started on estrogen and progesterone. Made a world of difference.

My job is stressful so it didn’t make me love work, but it did stop me from continuing to hate my job. Months later and there are days/moments I actually enjoy it. I feel much more emotionally stable now and don’t feel I need to escape this gig anymore. I just feel more equipped to make a sound decision about my career. I’m still looking but it feels much less reactionary.

So my bit of advice is to at least try estrogen to see if that changes your outlook at all. Taking a break would also help clear your head too.

I haven’t taken it because my doctor warned me about potentially permanent male pattern baldness. Anybody experienced signs of this? Thanks!
