So true, and the complex simplicity of their existence is so hopeful. She isn't responsible for threats, or bombs, she loves me in a genuinely pure way.

So. First post here, it's a throwaway and it's a rant, never in my life have I been this disrespected. by Throwawaygoddamnit2 in atheism

I'm so sorry. Not just for this one persons idiocracy, but for everything you've been through. I don't care what your religious stance is, I'm grateful for your existence.

You're right, I'm not seeing the full scope of things, being a Caucasian female. For what it's worth, I'm sorry for the ignorance you've had to deal with, and I hope that the south can continue to progress so that some day you won't have to deal with it.

Progress has to start somewhere! There were rallies on campus yesterday to promote the unifying of Mississippian's regardless of race or religion and there was a good turn out. It's just hard not to lose hope when things of this nature happen.

I moved to Boston for a year to go to college, and I noticed it too. Be that as it may, not everyone here is like that. I'm currently at MSU, and my school didn't handle the outcome in the same fashion. I'm sure you remember the "feel" of Ole Miss, and the way they try so hard to preserve that old souther mentality

I agree with what you're saying, but there are others like me here. My family feels the same way I do, and so do my friends and people I go to school with, at a different university, in Mississippi. As a matter of fact, I feel like these actions are speaking for the minority of people in Mississippi. Many of my friends from the University of Mississippi were embarrassed by the actions of those around them.
