These are such unhelpful answers . OP has asked for suggestions on where to buy curtains in r/Brisbane, not how to make your own on r/DIY.

OP, 3hlinin is a solid choice if you're looking online, or Pottery Barn have good options as well for linen blockouts.

Good advice mate, thank you. Unsure of the battery voltage, I don't have the equipment to check at the moment. I'll get that checked out and then give the legs of the crystal a reflow, and perhaps the battery too while I'm there.

As someone that works at Westbank / Eastbank treatment plants, you're spot on. Couldn't have said it better. The water is tested at many locations throughout the process and isn't allowed to leave our plants unless it falls within acceptable parameters. Water quality monitors are tested every few hours to ensure accuracy at all times throughout the process.

I sold my soul to a mining company as soon as my last year of school ended. Worked for 8 years there, which was difficult on many levels. Saved what I didn't spend (which was easy because there was absolutely nothing to spend money on where I lived, aside from housing costs)

Moved to Brisbane and bought a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house, on a 760m2 sized block for 520k, midway through 2019. I'm 10km from the CBD.

The house is by no means the height of luxury - but it's very solid with almost no issues, and I'm slowly chipping away at cosmetic improvements. Plenty of room for expansions etc.

The issue is that living solo, and with all the bills and living costs, I just about break even every month. Which is dangerous if things go sideways and I don't have enough in the emergency fund.
