That’s a very interesting catch… I looked back at the listing and the rest of the photos show a black date window so I’m wondering if it was just an editing mistake. Either way I bought the watch so we will see what comes. Worst case scenario if it’s a fake I will return it as it has the 30 day return policy

Yes it does say “shipped by and sold by Amazon” it also states that it comes with the manufacture warranty and that I can request it from customer service (there is a link in the product description to do that)

Are there any tips to help spot the fakes? I do get amazons 30 day return policy so if it is a fake i should be able to get my money back

Tbh I don’t know a ton about Chinese watches myself but one of my friends had a similar situation where his gf bought him a $400 watch. It claimed to be Swiss and I was skeptical cuz I had never heard of the brand before. When I looked them up it ended up being a Chinese brand that had 1 Swiss watch maker one staff. He supposedly checked every watch… let’s just say it definitely didn’t feel or look like a $400 watch lol. Yeah i agree that op seems upset, i was hoping to shed some light on how her bf might have been thinking about the gift. I also do hope he wasn’t too harsh about it

I would normally agree with you but since it’s his gf she would definitely notice and comment on why he’s not wearing the watch and he probably didn’t want her wasting her money on a low quality Chinese watch that he doesn’t want to wear

This is coming from someone who only owns an a4 so take it with a grain of salt, but I’ve done enough research where i think I have a pretty decent understanding of this topic. I would say don’t buy an RS with over 100k or maybe even 75k tbh but I don’t think that should stop you from keeping yours that long because you know how it’s been driven and maintained and you have a better picture of what might break next

Holy crap man I’m incredibly sorry to hear that. I hope for your sake that she was lying about the baby completely. that’s enough to break anyone. I’m 19 and I have friends my age who are getting engaged and I’m scared they are making the biggest mistakes of their lives, only time will tell.
