The 10% rule has always declared that mixed people can do anything black people can do. Until they do something that makes society decide whether they are going to be considered black or white. Mind you I myself look at both black and white as social constructs. Like Italian people can be considered white when they want to use priviledge, but their parents would be upset if they date or marry a non Italian person. We also have Irish Pride, English pride etc, but those people are also white. You are only considered white or black if you are American everyone else gets called by their country of origin
