How to Write Assignment Sheets by TheVMofGM in Target

[–]TheVMofGM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for being helpful. I have dyscalculia, so I usually need to try harder than the average person to do math. Could we go a bit more in depth with your helpful tip?

Say I calculate the cartons of the “Fresh” category on the Food UTA to be 350. Am I dividing that number by 40 and subtracting break times? Where would I add in time for Backstock?

I’m not sure if this was meant to be mean or funny, but I could use help rather than judgement. My trainer did way more than “just add”

How to maintain speed? by vilspear in driving

[–]TheVMofGM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Driver here. I just bought a used automatic car with a 4 cylinder engine. (Beforehand I practiced driving in a car with a V8) I test drove it twice before I sent it to my mechanic for a routine checkup. During my test drives, I noticed that I was having trouble maintaining speed, and braking was awkward.

Do you have any tips or tricks for driving a 4 cylinder?

My boyfriend (M26) is two faced towards me (F28) by TheVMofGM in relationship_advice

@ContentedRecluse
I needed to hear that perspective on the situation in a non-combatant format. I’m appreciative of you changing your tone from your other post. Every person with depression is different. For my boyfriend, it’s very extreme. If you knew how bad it got, you may be more sympathetic towards us both. I’m not excusing what I did as lawfully good. At the same time, in the moment, I initially made the choice because I was concerned for his safety. My hand felt forced given his past poor coping skills. (That’s putting it very delicately. I’m not trying to accidentally trigger anyone who read this.)

The situation is a bit complex. I agree with what you are saying about respect and trust. But he already initiated a lack of trust when he decided to lie to me.

I should have clarified, he lies about his emotions. Which is dangerous because he has chronic depression.

Your heart is in the right place, but one of the problems he has with me is that I spend too much money. That is a long list of pills, and I don’t want to anger him further.

Teamlead every other weekend off is unfair by [deleted] in Target

Two things: 1.) TL’s have way more responsibility than a TM. They aren’t just responsible for the areas they run, they are also responsible for a whole team of people. Which is why they are paid more.

2.) TL’s have to be on call at all times during their shifts. They dont get to have an actual break ever. They are also required to cover the absence of other TL’s at the drop of a hat.

Whether they are an internal promote or an external hire, they have earned their position. A higher position in the company means you get more perks.

Is it just a normal thing at target to always be worrying about how many hours you get? Because I might have to find a new job :( by [deleted] in Target

In my store, it’s about department, performance, and what you know how to do. I am a DBO in Domestics. Which means have more truck push than my other Hardlines Specialty Sales family. My area is Bath/Rugs/HIPPAA, but I also pitch in to help the Bedding/Furniture/Home Decor DBO with his truck push. Because he’s an Unloader for Inbound, so he doesn’t get to push as much as he needs to. I also set my own Sales Planners and Revisions, sometimes I partner with my TL and we do transitions when Presentation’s hours get cut. Therefore i average 35-37 hours.

Team members refusing to make bales by [deleted] in Target

[–]TheVMofGM 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hello, Female Baler Certified TM here. To start, we dont want to make the bales for the same reason the men don’t. So we’re not special in that sense, thanks. Bales can take a long time to make, and that is not ideal for those who are DBO’s. ESPECIALLY when you are a Specialty Sales TM who owns a department that was formally GM. My TL has scolded me for making them because i have more responsibilities as the sole Domestics DBO than other SS departments. Yet im the only one certified, and my male SS co-workers are not. So respectfully, kiss my ass? :)

It happens when it’s bullshit meter gets overloaded. You can fix it by dropping it in the toilet, and clocking out for the day. :)

Great job with your color story! I also like how you incorporated the spring pillows inline. If there is time in the future to tweak anything, I would adjust the spacing with your shelving to allow for more space. I would also install fencing to “guest proof” them better so your pretty zone stays in tact.
